We are planning on going to Destin, FL next summer. I have convinced my dh to go back to WDW for 2 days, then 1 day at Sea World. Do you think we should stay on site? We would only buy 2 - 1 day ph's for each of us, so that means only 1 park per day, we would not be leaving the parks cause we would not have ph's. We would go in June or July, I know the crowds are crazy & last year when we went to WDW we never ended up going to EE, because we over slept. HUMN..... decisions decisions.

I can only tell you what I would do... I would stay onsite and do the parks that I have not done for a while... so if that were Epcot and MK... so be it.. if you have never seen AK.. then I would do that .. I think you could do that in a 1/2 day...maybe MGM is more to your liking, then do that...but you can spend a day in each park and at least see most of it.. or at least that has been our experience.. but I would spend less time travelling to and from by staying inside and therefore have more time in the parks..

Good luck on what you decide.. I have never been to Destin but one of the moderators on theme parks loves it there... maybe she will come on and tell you just how much... :)

I won't advise you on whether to stay on-site or not, but will offer one ticket alternative to consider. If you do stay on site, you could get the UPH pass instead of just getting 2 1-day, 1-park passes. Current prices are $106 for the two 1-day, 1-park passes, while the UPH is $122 (advance purchase) for two days of unlimited hopping. Might be worth the extra $16 per person to hop around a bit.

With only two days, you could start one day at AK then hop over to MGM and stay through Fantasmic. The other day you could open MK and then make it over to Epcot for a few rides and finish the day with Illuminations.

Just a suggestion...

We did something similar to this in May. WE had gone to the world for Spring Break and had 1 day left on our hopper, but we had all of our plusses. I know that we had the park hopper plus and that you do not, but this is what we did. The first day we went to a water park -- used a plus. THe seond day we did three parks in one day--here were the rules--no parades, no shows, pnly pick your fav. If there is enough time we would try to put in fireworkd or something. IT was great--now remember I have a 8 and 5 year old. We started at MGM and did RR, ToT, and Star Tours. Left there and went to Magic Kingdom and did all of our fav---SM, HH, BL, Tea Cups, SPeedway, TM, and several more- WE even ate at Liberty TRee. After dinner we rushed over to Epcot and watched Illuminations. The next day we went to another Water park and then drove the 10 hours home. TO us it was worth all the hassle--my kids still talk about it---I will never forget it was memeorial day and we had people coming to cook out and my husband said lets go to dinsey in the morning---we really shocked the kids---my husband is never a spure of the moment type of guy. Just go knowing what you think that you can do and have fun. Sorry that it is long--hope it helps.

tjkraz,

I did not know I could purchase a UPH. That is a possibilty. Now I have something else to think about:)

Thanks all for your replies!!

I would definitely stay onsite. We live in Panama City, (short drive from Destin) and we have gone done for a three day visit. We spent all our time at WDW.
