Going to Universal from POP...so confused??

What's the best way for a group of 6 to get to Universal from POP?

I've heard of Mear...but since there's 6 of us, was wondering if anybody has used a van service that saved them more than $14/person? (though at present this seems to be our best bet)

We would also rather stay away from renting a car...doesn't seem to be saving us much and nobody in our group wants to drive..

Are there any resorts (on/off site) that offer shuttles to Universal (with/without a fee)??

Help would be greatly appreciated!

For a party of six I would recommend one of the Towncar van services.

We went the rental car route. Arranged free shuttle from POP to WDW Car Care Center, picked up rental at opening time (0630), picked up family at POP and off to Universal by 0800. Stopped along the way for fast food breakfast and on the way back for sit-down dinner. In my estimation, the money saved by eating outside the parks just about paid for the rental car, gas and parking. Plus we made a grocery stop on the way back which we could not have done otherwise.

We went to Sea world by just getting a cab from POR. Just asked at the front desk for a van since there were seven of us. Pulled up in about a minute It worked like a charm. I think it was 27 one way with Tip. So round trip $54 divded by 7 of us and it was only7 bucks per person and direct service. They give you a card to call when you are ready to go home. I am not sure how much farther Universal is from Sea world but it is only a $5 difference on the Tiffany rates of rount trip of 65 + Tip.

I recommend Tiffany also if you choose that route. I just wanted you to know that Disney has cabs at each resort just waiting for someone to use them. This is how we hopped resorts too. Too easy!

I would definitely pick this option or the towncar option over MEARS!
