Going to try to us Holding points?

I'm going to try to use holding points for this July 1 bedroom....has anybody noticed that DVC reservations are down???? Our Checkout date is Aug 1 so I'm figuring that I need to book everything beginning on June 2. I'm hoping to find something. I have a 1 bdrm booked but I'd like to be able to use these holding points I hadn't intended on having....

How would one notice if reservations are down ?

Holding account points can be reserved 60 days before check-in date. See page 14 of the 2008 planner.
