I have to take my stepdaughter down to Milwaukee tomorrow for her physical to enter the military. Trader Joes is 7 miles from where she will be, and since I will have some time to kill, I will be hitting it up!!! So, since I am a Trader Joes virgin, what should I not miss??

I love their California Garlic powder. It's the only thing I use for dry seasoning.

Ours also has a great basmati rice and dried veggie mix. The key to fixing that though is to use chicken broth. Water makes it taste yucky!

I like their red bean chips... chocolate covered, peanut butter filled pretzels... fresh parmesan/reggino (sp?) is also a staple...

OOOOOOOOOOOO! I 'bout forgot their pasta. You can get a pound for 99 cents. It is like nothing you have ever tasted before... it's soooo much better than Creamette and Barilla!

Trader Joe's Mac and Cheese.
The Cranberry and Raisin Crackers
Maryland Crab and Corn Chowder

Their boxed soups, meringue cookies (any of their cookies - they're usually above the frozen cases). Fresh flowers. romaine lettuce (3 hearts to a pkg)

Check their "chip" aisle for different chips that you won't see in many other stores.

Bring an ice chest to keep stuff cold.

Frozen green beans (Harcorts verts). You will never eat others, they are so good.

Corn and Bean salsa.

Artichoke and Parmesean dip.

Frozen artichoke hearts. One of the few places to get non-marinated ones.

Some things I like:

Mandarin Orange Chicken (Frozen Foods) - My kids don't care for it, though, because it is made with both dark and white meat chicken. They don't care for dark meat so we no longer buy this.

Triple Ginger Snap Cookies - very gingery/peppery and have dried, crystallized ginger chunks in them.

Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Wedges in the Round Tin. Also, the dark chocolate/caramel ones are delicious too and run about 35 calories a wedge.

Small rawhide chews for my dog. They are wrapped with dehydrated chicken breasts.

Dehydrated chicken breasts for dogs.

Trader Joe's canned dog food.

Barbara's Cinnamon Puffins (they have the best price around).

Any of the frozen vegetables, they are all very good.

Romaine 3 pack.

I buy a lot of chicken breasts there too. Nothing to shout about there but it's all minimally processed and a very good price.

Any of their marinated fresh meats are good. I forget what they are called but you throw them on the grill and use them to stuff tortilla shells.

I love Trader Joes!!:lovestruc:lovestruc

The things I love the most there are their frozen mandarin orange chicken, their tzatziki, their individual sized bags or kettle corn (110 calories per bag and delicious), cat cookies, two buck chuck (charles shaw wine), all of their fruits and vegetables are great, basmati rice, and I'm sure there is more because I really do just love it there. Have Fun!!:thumbsup2

Coconut Water
Electrolytes enhanced water
Blueberry scones
Guilt free brownie mix
Mini chicken tacos
Low fat mocha yogurt
Lavender soap
Peanut butter granola bars

If you like cheese & wine, they have great selection & prices, don't miss out on these.

Have fun & enjoy :goodvibes

hmmm...
hot fresh salsa
mediterranean hummos
hericot verts w/mushroom and potatoes (frozen)
frozen choc croissants
frozen curry rice
granola
olive tapenade
frozen mandarin orange chicken
greek yogurt

I just experienced Trader Joe's for the first time a few weeks ago. Some of the things that I bought, that I really liked:

Puffy White Cheddar corn puffs
Triple Ginger Snaps
Boxed tomato/red pepper soup(I am actually eating this right now for lunch!)
Chili Lime chicken burgers
CHOCOLATE!!! (I bought the milk chocolate..soooo good!!)
An Apple Walked into a Bar (fruit bars)

I also bought frozen creme brulee which we haven't had yet

Roasted Garlic Chipotle Salsa (in a jar). We did not like this at all.
Strawberry preserves- nothing special about these.

Next trip, I plan on buying the ground coffee with the cocoa added to it. I had a sample of it when I was there, and it was excellent! Also, JoJo's...I hear they are better than oreo's and need to see for myself! ;)

I, too, love the Madarin Orange Chicken! I serve it with the vegetable fried rice and the pork potstickers (gyoza). My MIL was just here and I served that meal to her and she wrote everything down to go buy it when she went back to NJ.

I also love the gorganzola crackers, Jo Jo cookies (the vanilla are out of this world!), pineapple salsa, dried fruits, chardonnay, carne asada marinated beef...hmmm, I need to get back to TJ's!!!

I had bought the totellini for my husband when I was away and they did not like them...and we did not care for the chicken egg rolls.

Their yogurts are very good too!

I really like the moral fiber blueberry muffins. They are loaded with fiber and lots healtier than the regular ones. They have a healthy grainy, fiber-y taste but I really like them!

Frozen Chicken Fried Rice
Frozen Mac and Cheese
Frozen Barbecue Chicken (put it over rice)
Pretzel Bread
Husband loves their hummus
He also loves their feta salad dressing in a bottle
Baklava assortment
Chocolate and yogurt covered pretzels
Husband likes to get bottles of beer ($1 each)
Chunky applesauce in a jar

TWO BUCK CHUCK!!!! :cool1: Its one of the many wines they sell. OP, just get at least one bottle = $1.99. CHARLES SHAW! Sweet deal. We love the Merlot the best.

I love their Trader Joe's "Honey Nut" O's cereal!! Oh and yes, someone mentioned their FIBER blueberry muffins … sweeeet.

Trader Giotto (sp?) Vodka Sauce. Not the organic version. So good and much more reasonably priced than what the typical grocery store carries. Although, I haven't lived near Trader Joe's in a while so I hope they still have it!

It's $3.99 on the East Coast.

We like their turkey meatballs. They used to be 1 point each on weight watchers but not sure about ww new way of doing points. We also like a lot of the frozen foods, the veggie fried rice is good.I do also buy merengue cookies, way less expensive than the supermarket.

The TJ cookies are good, they look like oreos, the best ones are near Christmas when they have peppermint filled ones.
