Hi there!

I will be going to the UK in mid-April with a bunch of my friends over our Spring break. But I was just wondering, what is the weather like there? What kind of shoes/clothes should I pack? Should I bring any shorts? Or just pack a bunch of pants. Our tour guide suggested that we wear layer for ex. A polo or t-shirt with a hoodie or something over it or long sleeves with long pants and maybe a jacket over it. haha, I am so divided I have no idea what to pack or wear....plus I am going for 10 days and have to pack the tiniest possible suit case in the world! Somebody, anybody help mefigure out what to wear! :teeth:

Hi Lauran

I don't know what part of the UK you will be visiting but I would suggest you can safely leave the shorts at home ;) I would suggest you follow the advice of your tour guide as the weather in April here is very changeable and more likely to be still quite cool and damp :teeth:

I would leave the shorts at home.
We can get warm weather in April but we are just as likely to have snow!

layers is a good idea and a jacket that can keep out a cold wind and the April showers. ;)

:lmao: :lmao:

I think I can safely say you won't be needing shorts. Weather in the UK tends not to vary too much by region but you might be in luck and get some reasonable weather in April. Chances are it will rain a lot though :umbrella:

It will be rainy and cold. Think a milder version of Hurricane season in Florida ;) No shorts needed. I still wear my polo neck wooly sweaters in April with a t-shirt underneath. You may be lucky and get a mild and dry day where a light jacket will be ok. When I am outside In April I typically still wear a thick padded coat. Depends on what you have planned when you get here outdoors or indoors activities. Where are you visiting ? FYI at the minute we have 5 inches of snow here in places.

What you've been told is all good advice but do bring a warm coat as well as a lightweight jaclet. It can be very cold in April or much warmer and you need to be prepared for both.

Have a great visit.

SHORTS!!! :rotfl2:

Sorry Laura I really did laugh out loud!!. April is a funny month....we have a saying 'April Showers' so a waterproof jacket is a good bet!!..It can be a little warm (If you are really lucky!!) and if you are planning alot of exercise bring a few tshirts just incase......but mainly warm clothes!!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday!!!! :wave2:
