I think I've been to London about 9 times. At some point, I lost count.
I've been to Paris twice and Russia twice and I'll jump at the chance to visit either of those for the third time. Scotland twice as well, but it's not at the top of my "visit for the third time" list. I've also been to D.C. twice and will definitely go there again. I've been to many places in Europe once that I'd love to see again (more in depth) but before I do that, I'll visit some other place for the first time.
For all of the places I named that I'd like to visit multiple times, they all have one thing in common. You don't just do the same activities or see the same sights over and over. There is so much to see and do that you can take multiple trips and never repeat a thing. I wouldn't want to go on a vacation that involved a Groundhog Day-esque type of trip.
