Going to the Poly

We're a few days away from our first trip to Disneyworld with the kids. We're booked at the Poly. Is it possible to call ahead, a day or so, to request a specific longhouse? And if so, do we call CRO or the Poly direclty? We're booked through an agency and they said they would pass our request along but nothing is guaranteed, etc. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I booked with DU and gave them some specific requests (1st, 2nd, 3rd choices) to pass along w/the ressie. I never called the poly myself, but upon arrival, I did get my 2nd request, so they must have done it.

When I made my reservations for resort stay, I did ask for certain houses, and she said that they will make a note in the reservation, but it isn't guaranteed. When I got my paper work, it does have in the notes what my requests are. I also told them that it will be my bday trip, and they made a note of that also.
