I am taking my dog on our trip with us and going to put him in the kennels there at MK. However, I want to get him there early in the mornings when the park opens. My wife wont be up in time for park opening and I want to ensure that he gets in, so I am going to take him and drop him off there and then come back to the park about an hour later.

Does anyone know if there is a place I can park to avoid having to walk all the way through the lot with him? Someone mentioned that you can park right at the kennel.

Anyone know?

Just to help out, and I can't answer all of your questions....the kennel is located
at the TTC, not MK. There probably is a way, once you're in the parking lot, to
drop off at the kennel. It's a small building, the same as lost & found, about
300 feet from the monorail ramp. Hope that helps, and I'm sure there are more
experts out there that can help.

There is a small parking lot next to the kennel at the Transportation and Ticket Center. We boarded our dog there last August. There is also a small area to walk the dogs around the side and back area. We would usually drive there first thing in the morning to walk the dog, then drive back to our resort and take Disney transportation to parks. If we were coming mid-day, we'd take the monorail or boat to the TTC from MK. If you have more questions, PM me. I'd be glad to share more info. :)

HI, Thanks!

I PM'd you. If you could respond in as much detail as possible I'd love it. Im a little nervous. Our dog is our "baby" and he's everything to us and we want him to be ok.

We have two babies we boarded on Christmas Day, MK (TTC). Two females -- one is black lab (100#). Little girl #2 is half cocker/half black lab 70+ #.

The Epcot kennel will walk your pet for an extra fee. That may work better for you.

Last weekend we went to Fort Wilderness. I did not look inside their kennel. But I liked the outside a lot better. I told DH next time I would be more inclined to try that kennel. MUCH nicer walking area. And there are horses in the background. The dogs of course don't go near the horses. But my girls would be very interested in airborne odors! ;)
Of course the FW kennel is not near as easy to access. There are 5 WDW kennels.

At any WDW kennel (except Epcot) the dog owners have to return to walk their pet.

At the TTC kennel there is a small parking lot to run in and out for the kennel.

You might want to do a search. I know there has been recent discussions on WDW kennels.
