HEADING TO OKW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN JAN 2008..WE HAVE A STUDIO AS IT IS ONLY MYSELF, DH AND DD8 THIS TRIP. ANY POINTERS WOULD BE GREAT...BUILDINGS TO STAY IN?? THINGS TO DO/SEE?? PLACES TO EAT?? THINGS TO STAY AWAY FROM...DISNEY TRANSPORTATION TO PARKS..ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WOULD BE WONDERFUL!! :cheer2:

OKW IN 65 DAYS!!

So happy for you, I think you will love it! Building wise I like to be close to everything but some like the quiet of being further back and if you have car that works (we don't come in with a car). My mom usually comes with us and it is easier going to eat, shop etc. if we are close to everything. Olivia's is great fun (though last year dissappointed, new chef took many favorites off the menu). I did read they did bring back by popular demand, fried boneless chicken w/mashes potatoes and gravy, worth the calories! The only area I would suggest not staying is the set of buildings to the left of guest check in, very secluded total darkness at night to many security issues. Had a inccident several years ago, will not stay there. The setting is very relaxing, so kick back and enjoy! You might want to rent a pontoon, once again relaxing fun, oh and shuffle board how many years has it been? most kids today haven't ever played shuffle board.:goodvibes
PS Don't know if they brought back the shrimp and artichoke dip if they did I suggest you order it, was always a big favorite. I use to have the recipe and cannot find it, so if anyone has the recipe please share!

DH and I were there last Jan. and had a splendid time. Beautiful weather and
it was quiet as a.......wait for it........MOUSE. We were in Bldg. 27 in a studio.
We will be there next month in a studio and are hoping for a water view in
either Bldg. 45,46 or 55. This resort is beautiful. You will have a wonderful
time! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I am very much looking forward to our stay!!

Just off of University Blvd. and Riggs Rd. in Hyattsville(Gorgeous Pr. Georges!)
near the U. of MD. Whenever we'd give directions it would be, "Okay, so you
know where Tick Tock is? YES. Everybody knew where Tick Tock was.

The pools are heated to a lovely 80 degrees. If it's cold, just have someone
waiting for you with a warm fluffy towel when you get out. Kids don't mind
anything. My youngest was the only one in the pool one year when we were
at POR in January. They love it anytime. Enjoy!:goodvibes
