Going to MK around 10 pm

We will have an AP and will arrive at our resort around 8:30 pm. The MK is open till 12 pm. I was wondering if anyone else has gone this late to the parks?

we do this all the time when we have AP and love it!!

Be wary of the crowds leaving and depending upon the time of wishes, there will be areas roped off for wishes.

We do this all the time. Depending on the time of year (we always visit during nonpeak times) the lines for rides are extremely short. It's great!

Sure, I love going in the evening, it's the best time.

YES!

One time,I arrived at my Resort just in time to hop on an Epcot bus,travel to Epcot,go through the turnstiles at 8:55 PM and hop on Spaceship Earth for my first ride of the trip!

Another one here who has arrived late at parks during the course of stays there. This year we plan on doing the same as the OP and ditching DTD for MK on arrival night - also not likely to get to our resort much before 8 pm so heading out to MK around 10. We are just going to walk around, collect our PP+ card (purchased it before it became Memory Maker), grab a CS meal and go back to the resort so not bothering with any FP reservations for that night but it seemed like a nice way to start the trip.

We are at WDW now and for the past two nights ee have used this strategy. We have walked on many attractions that we don't want to spend a fastpass on (Teacups, Little Mermaid, Pooh, Dumbo, Jungle Cruise) and the characters were mostly walk up as well. There were still lineups for Peter Pan and Space Mountain, but they are much shorter. The second Electrical Parade is also less crowded and you can walk up to the rope to watch in Frontierland two minutes before the parade passes.
