Which rides should I stay away from completely? I will be 11 weeks 1 day when we get there. My kids are small so we plan to stay where the non huge rides are at.

They will all have warnings at the entrance. Have you spoken to your doctor about this?

Any ride that has a height restriction also has a warning that pregnant women should not ride. Go to the Disneyland.com website and you'll be able to see all the rides that have warnings.

I went at 5 months pregnant and I didn't/couldn't do the mountains or coasters. I didn't want to do Astro Orbiter. Most other rides were no big deal. My doctor told me that as long as I was comfortable and that there were no restrictions that it was ok for me to go on. The rides you shouldn't go on are well labeled and you should be ok for the rest.

Remember to take it really easy and drink lots. That's really important especially if it's going to be warmer there than you're used to.

The rides that aren't recommended that, imo, aren't as obvious are autopia and the tuck and roll cars at DCA. Someone even mentioned to me that it's not a good idea to even stand in line for autopia when pregnant because of the fumes.

When we went last year I was just barely 8/9 weeks pregnant and I just avoided the roller coasters. I was told by my doc (although my pregnancy was not confirmed yet by scan, only hpt) that anything that makes me feel uncomfortable or ill should be avoided... I pretty much had your run-of-the-mill morning sickness, so I was good to go :)

I did ride autopia, twice actually, and did fine. I was driving with my young son so we did not have too jerky of movements.

I am going next month and will be about 12 weeks along. I will avoid indy, space, big thunder, screamin and tot. I am really sad about Star Tours... can anyone tell me what it's like?
I've heard of ladies going on many of the rides while preggo. I just think it's what you're comfortable with and of course your doc could maybe help there. There is still so much to do that's fun though! I think I might try splash...I really don't see how the drop will matter, but I will ask my doc.

Thank you all, I will check that link and make a check list so i know don't even think about it..lol
I haven't told my dr yet, I actually didn't get to see her at my last appt, I will call the office tomorrow and see what they tell me.

We went when I was 17 weeks with my second. I avoided the mountains and those with a sign saying no... but I wish I would have avoided Dumbo. With a 2 yr old at the control, the spinning and jerking up and down was almost too much for me!

I would relax, enjoy, wear shoes that allow your feet to swell if necessary. And its a great reason to really enjoy all the wonderful treats disney has to offer!

I went biweekly to monthly when I was pregnant with both of my girls.

Hydrate and sit - that will be more important than which rides.

You can always seek shelter with your small ones at the Baby Care centers - all of the staff there is phenomenal. The DCA one has an adult potty inside, too.

Watch for signs, like others have mentioned, but don't be afraid to just take it at your own pace. Follow your young children and see what they want to go on. Ride in Casey Jr. The Storybook Canal Boats, Pirates, Small World, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear. Sit and enjoy the parade or a band at Carnation Gardens. Go over to Tom Sawyer Island and let the other adults run with the kids while you sit in the shade. Go to Innoventions. It's airconditioned there. Sit in the Animation Building in DCA. That's good for over an hour in the main room alone. Add Crush, the Beast's Library, Learn with an Animator, and Ursula's Grotto and you have a much longer period. Do Muppets, Monsters, Aladdin (get there early for Orchestra seating). enjoy the Little Mermaid - the line moves quickly.

There really is so very much to do while pregnant! :thumbsup2

At 11w1d I think your biggest concern is really morning sickness (and by morning I mean all day--I was sick as a dog first tri :crazy2:). I would avoid any ride that has a pregnancy warning. I rode Autopia no problem. You will probably want to skip Star Tours (sorry) but something like Soarin' Over California should be no problem. Really it's up to how you feel. At 11w1d there is little danger from outside forces. Make sure all seatbelts are low and tight around your hips. If you feel concerned, I'd avoid any ride that presses you up against a restraint bar or might throw you into one, like Mr. Toad.

Have a great visit, and congrats on your upcoming bundle of joy!

And I'll tell you, I enjoyed Disneyland right up to the last possible second. Here's me at 38 weeks 1 day. I delivered 40 weeks 1 day, so exactly two weeks prior.

"Ready to pop" doesn't cover it--I was more ready to explode! :rotfl2: Hope you have a very smooth pregnancy too :).

We call that "DS's first Mickey picture" ;)
