so, i shall be going to Disney World in 3 weeks (as you can obviously tell by my awesome sig lol) and it shall be my first time. sad, i know haha. but my point is, i need ideas of what rides to go on and which to avoid. some criteria: i am terrified of roller coasters, and i dont really like rides with extreme speed, like 0-70 in 2 seconds flat is definitely off-limits to me lol

so, any suggestions? thanks in advance lol

I think you would like everything except for:

Big Thunder Mountain at MK, it is very tame though
Splash Mountain- 5 story drop, but I really don't how terrified you are of stuff like that
Space Mounatin- you go 27 mph, but it feels faster
Soarin has heights, but it is just wonderful!
Mission Space causes extreme motion sickness
Test Track is pretty fast, so you may not like it
Rock and Roller Coaster is a definite no for you
Tower of Terror is, again, drops, but I don't know how you feel about that
Everest is fun, but has drops and a backwards part

That is what I would caution you on given what you told us. Most of those rides are really tame and a lot of fun, so maybe you could try to break that fear of your's. Have a wonderful time!

I'm leaving for WDW on the same day as you! Well, technically the day before, but we're flying out on that day! My first trip too! :woohoo: So, no, no recommendations since I haven't been there. I can't wait, isn't it soo exciting? :goodvibes

In MK:
-Splash Mountain is a MUST, the speed of the drop isnt bad at all so you'll be fine
-Buzz Lightyear is also a lot of fun
-Haunted Mansion, amazingness
-IMO, however many may disagree, I don't think Peter Pan is worth a long wait. Go if you have a fastpass or need to kill time

Epcot:
-Soarin is amazing on so many levels, one of my all time faves!
-Go on the rides in Mexico and Norway
-Skip Living with the Land (unless many people tell you otherwise) but in my opinion, you sit in a boat and look at plants. *snooze*

DHS:
-Toy Story Mania is SO MUCH FUN!
-Lights Motors Actions was great
-Also go to Beauty and the Beast

AK:
-Kali River Rapids is fun
-You HAVE to do Kilimanjaro Safari!

it's very exciting!! lol i'll have a friend with me that's been before though XDD:cheer2: also, thanks for all the other suggestions too. i'll try to remember them :)

Nothing faster than 70 mph? Alright! Then you can go on every ride! Well, except the Richard Petty Driving Experience (but you probably may not be old enough for that anyways, and it costs extra).

So... try everything (: Sometime's it's good to face your fears. But, look at the park map and it will tell you a few things about each ride, and what to expect

I was the same way going the first time to WDW, but it changed me. I basically have gone on every ride there, including coasters (still need to warm up to one last ride)

Magic Kingdom:
-Splash Mountain, definitely! There is the big drop at the end and drops on the ride, but they are so quick, you'll find it easy.
-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, It is a roller coaster but it is very tame and I'm sure you can handle it.
-Space Mountain, It is a bit more intense than BTMR and may not be for you, but I tried it out and thoroughly enjoyed it my first time. It was my first coaster.
-Haunted Mansion, it is a classic!
-Pirates of the Carribean, it is a classic!
-Peter Pan's Flight, I think I would've liked it more if I hadn't waited so long, so grab a fastpass for this
-It's A Small World, why, of course!

Epcot:
-Test Track, they advertise it as the fastest ride in Disney (which it is), but I know someone who wouldn't go on any of the coasters and loved this ride. It is just like driving in a car.
-Maelstrom, it is a mini-version of Splash, I don't like it since I love Splash, but you will probably enjoy it
-Soarin', a must-do! It is a very fun ride, no high speeds or anything, it is pure fun
-Spaceship Earth, the opinions vary on this ride, but I still like it
-Gran Fiesta Tour, there is never a wait and it is a cute boat ride.

Hollywood Studios:
-Tower of Terror, I was wicked afraid to go on this, but didn't go on until my second trip and it isn't as bad as people say, but wicked fun. I'm mad I didn't go on it my first trip
-Toy Story Mania, it is very fun, but grab a fastpass ASAP!
-The Great Movie Ride, it is a very fun experience and the ride is narrated
-The American Idol Experience!, you may or not love AI but this is a great new show
-Lights! Motors! Action!, the classic stunt show, but they show how it's done. Skip if its really hot, since it is wicked hot in this area

Animal Kingdom:
-DINOSAUR, it is not a roller coaster, you do get jostled and it does speed up, but its not scary unless you don't like loud noises
-Expedition Everest, if you were able to do Space and Thunder, do this, it is a fav of mine
-Kali River Rapids, it is tamer than Splash, but you get a ton more wet
-Kilimanjaro Safaris, probably the best safari I've been on
-Finding Nemo: The Musical, it is very cute
-Primeval Whirl, not a favorite of mine, because of the sudden jerks, but it is a very easy roller coaster, the easiest of them all
-It's Tough To Be A Bug, I love this show! My favorite show in all of Disney

I'll add the don'ts later

Go on Soren! (unless you have a deathly fear of heights) But if you do have a small fear of heights, just don't look down and you'll be fine!
Test track is not as bad as it looks, It goes at a top speed of 60mph, but it get's there gradually (You speed up by 10mph every 10 seconds or so) So it's not a speedy tack off, and do NOT let the out side scare you! Basically it's mostly an inside ride but when the car is going the very fastest it goes out side (so you'll be able to see it) and when you watch it, it looks like the car is going like 200mph! (which is why I was afraid to go on it at first) but really it's only going 60 (which is the same speed that a car goes on a highway!!!)and it really doesn't feel that fast and your not going up and down any hills, so basically it's kind of like riding in a convertible!

thanks for all the suggestions everyone, idk if i'll have time for them all lol. i'll probably have to go again ;D
