Going to Disney April 11-18th, 2008

Well we are heading to Disney for the 2nd time with our 13 yr. old son..Looking forward to it.
Have a couple questions? What is weather like around this time? Does anyone have opinions on the All Star Sports resort?? Last time we stayed at the Caribbean and it was nice. Heard some stories about the All Star being noisy crowded and not kept up as well as the moderate resorts.
I know we will have a great time but regretting not booking at the Port Orleans which was my original plan. Thanks Crabby

Welcome to the boards. I'm sorry I can't help you with All Star, but there is a thread on the resorts board just for All Star with tons of info.

We will be there April 16th-19th before our cruise. Wondering what your park itinerary is for the week since MK will be closing early several nights.

Weather- When we have been in April it is usually 70-80's during day, humdity not bad, nights 60-70's usally have a sweatshirt for kids. I don't know if this is typical but our experience.

Hi! Congrats on your trip. We, too, are heading to WDW in April. We'll be at POP from 4/14-4/20. We've always stayed at the value resorts and yes, they can get noisy, but for the price and for the theming, we love them. We've teetered back and forth about spending more for the moderates or the deluxe resorts, but we don't spend much time in the room and we'd rather save the money for extra things like the DDP or for goodies to take home.

This is our first trip in April, so I'm glad to hear the weather report! We've always gone in September when the crowds are low, but the weather is always so stinkin' hot. So I'm looking forward to more comfortable weather!

Have a great trip. It's next month!!! I've been waiting to say that for a few months.

Welcome to the board. We will be at POP April 12 - 22. We have done moderates and values as well. The values are a step down but they are still fine. My boys love the brightness that the values offer. It is a little noisier but we've never had a problem. As for the weather April is a low rain month.

April is the month we usually go to WDW, and the weather is awesome! I dont remember any of our past trips where the kids did not swim everyday. I do, however, remember last year at Epcot one evening, I had to buy a sweatshirt for the 5 yr. old as it was too chilly for her. Be prepared for either near perfect weather or a little on the hot side, we have experienced both. I can't wait to go back...only 35 more days!!!

It looks like April weather should be a lot like Decemeber weather was for us... beautiful days- not too hot, around mid-upper 70's, hardly any rain (we had one afternoon shower during our stay) and cool (sweatshirt) weather at night. We will be back at WDW April 9-16... can't wait!!

We stayed at All-Star Sports a very long time ago (10 years this June), and enjoyed it- however, after having stayed at POP last December, I'd never stay anywhere else again!

We wil be there April 11-20... we love to travel at this time... have done so many times... the weather is WONDERFUL!!!!! warm days, nice nights, great swimming weather... the only value we have stayed at is POP... we have had fun... I am sure you will love it... we are staying at SOG this trip... we have stayed there several times and LOVE it..... there will be 5 of us, DH, DD(18), DS(15), DMom, and myself.... we have a poolside room served which will be great for us... I think you'll find its a great time to go.... for good touring information you should subscribe to Tourguidemike... he has great plans and will help you make the most of your trip
