Hi,
I am going to Disneyland this Sunday (July 31), I have a few questions. Does anyone know how the crowds have been, will it be VERY, VERY busy?? Probably a silly question. Anyway, my other question is that my friend is a member on these boards and she told me that one can distinguish themselves somehow with a marker to let other DIS board members know who you are. She said something about a ribbon on the stroller? Please tell me, I'd like to do something like this. Thanks for any help and maybe I'll see some people there on Sunday!!

Hi there vegasnative & welcome to the DISneyland Board. :)

Years ago, DISers decided that we would distinguish ourselves by tieing a limegreen ribbon somewhere - stroller, backpack, etc. I usually wear limegreen Mickey Mouse clips & limegreen clippy things in my hair, and a name badge with beads that spell out my name w/limegreen beads in between that Tink33 made for a meet we had back in 2001. A long limegreen ribbon should do it.

Expect Sunday to be very crowded. Decide which attractions are must-do, nice-to-do, and will-do-if-we-have-time. Use fastpass & single rider lines where you can, and don't sweat the small stuff - you can always come back at another time to do the stuff you missed.

See a show to get out of the lines - at Disneyland a fun show to watch is Billy Hill & the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe, where you can also get a bite to eat. There is also Snow White Musical that a lot of people like. At California Adventure, see the Aladdin Musical - it's very good.

Sounds like a lot of DISers will be at DL around then. Check out the EE post, which almost turned into a "First week of August" post. Several DISers are planning on EE on Monday (I don't arrive until Tuesday, so I'll miss you and the Monday EE fun). I'll dig up some lime green ribbon anyway, but I don't know where I'll put it. I think my 14-year old might protest riding around in a stroller.

Sure, it will be very crowded, but will also be really fun! And the weather forecast is perfect for all of next week! Follow Mary Jo's advice and have a great time!
