:scared1: 21 DAYS!! Gracious be! My advice:Take LOTS OF MONEY!!! And have a great time! :earboy2:

We went 2 years ago and bought a pass from Paramount International. I don't think Paramount is still in business BUT other Discount ticket agents have similar passes. The pass was designed for foreign travelers who come over for extended time in FL. Paramount said they could sell the pass to US residents too. Check to see if you can get that particular pass Fun in the Sun is what it was called. It was a park hopper, water parks and quest pass PLUS kennedy space center, and other area attractions. Have a GREAT trip We will be there 12 days in January CANT WAIT!!!!

21 DAYS!! - - Holy @%&*#!

My advice:

Throw away any itineraries. Do whatever you feel like, whenever you feel like it. Relax and do absolutely nothing every other day.

Wow, You've got more stamina than I do (I'm still envious though).

HAVE FUN!!

x10, I thought we were doing well in that we are going for 20 days. You beat us! Hooray for you. :cheer2:

If you did the same deal as we did I am betting you paid far less for far more days and free food too. Our total was $2,022.60.

We will be at the Sports from Sept 20th thru Oct 10th. We might run into each other , SEVERAL times. :thumbsup2

LOL, I am semi famous around here for being cheap. They even do articles in the paper on my deals. I view it as a game and enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Here is the deal. We bought AP's last year using our Citi bank reward CASH. The AP's ended up costing us $240 for both, I think. Since we used them last year I am not counting them as a cost this year although I really should prorate them.

When the Free Dining came out I jumped on it like a cat on a June Bug and got the room for a cost of $80 a nite but with the free dining it was almost as good a deal as the year I got the Values for $49 a nite.

The only downside was the fact that I had to buy 4 one day tickets instead of 2 because we had to book two ressies for our lengthy stay. I will now HAVE to buy at least two more sets of AP's in order to use the one day passes toward upgraded passes. Guess that will just about cover any price increases though. :rotfl:

The trip down is not too expensive either as we use those motel coupon books and only have to pay for one night down and one night back. Gas is twice as expensive as it was a couple of years ago but since we park the car for the nearly 3 weeks we are at DW it is not too onerous.

I have many money saving ideas for on property if you let me know what kind of trip you want. Saving money is not a good thing if you suffer. :lmao:

How do you have 21 days to go on vacation???? I'd love to figure out how I can work something like that.

We are going for 28 days starting Sept 15. It's been 8 long years since our last visit , that one was for 26 days. We are going to spent 14 days at the Disney parks and 14 days at Universal, Sea World and Wet & Wild. Plenty of time to take afternoon breaks, relaxing by the pool at our two bedroom condo, and every third day we will spent the day relaxing at the Disney water parks or Wet & Wild. The longer the vacation , the more relaxing it will be, you don't have to rush anything. I can't understand someone trying to fit everything in one week, they must go home exausted.
Undoubtively someone will say how can you afford 28 days at a two bedroom condo, hows $1,090.00 U.S. for 28 days at the Sunterra Polynesian Isles Resort in Kissimmee. Rated in the top 10 in Tripadvisor.com.

Slightlygoofy, wowzers. A 18 room home!!
Op, lucky you!! Wow!!

We go for twenty one nights every year. I don't want to sound pompous, that's not it at all. We are DVC members and in order to justify the flight down once a year from our very remote location in Northern Canada, we stay that long. This year is very special in that we are 11 nights at SSR, then a 4 night DVC Member's Cruise, then back to SSR for 6 nights. So, 21 nights altogether. Plus, I have an amazing boss who gives me a grand total of 8 weeks off a year.

It works out to three weeks in the spring (usually around April), five weeks for our Disney trip, and a week-10 days at Christmas. I love my job!!!!! :cheer2:

This all makes up for our winters up here.......think many long, cold, dark winter nights (7 months on average).

Where are you staying? Hopefully at one of the Disney resorts.

Wish we was but for this time we are at the comfort inn
as to stay at a disney site was £800 more

But if I had found this site before we booked I am sure we could have made it to a disney site for the same money

We are paying £3500

Can Any one let us know how busy it is for Sep 30 to Oct 21

Also here we go as you now know from this post it will be the first time to Disney world this year

Been to Disney Pairs the last 4 year

Which when you look at the cost about £900 for 4 nights 5 day
So coming to the US works out about the same if not less for the same amount of time Paris if you could book that ( but you can not)
I.E £900 X 4 Paris holidays =£3600 total of 20 days in Pairs

But I now have the bug I am look at way to go again next year

What are the best ways to get good deals on air tickets, Disney site to stay and Disney ticket?

Would love to look at a 21-day holiday again about the same time any idea would be great

Also glad to be part of this forum with like minded people ( all mad)

I have found that one of the best money savers is to take just quick and simple items for breakfast. My family is not real big on eating first thing in the morning so a quick muffin or pop tart or something to that affect and we are ready to go. Saves alot of money for us since we are only paying for 2 meals a day instead of 3. We generally just have a big lunch and then a light dinner. Most restaurants are cheaper at lunch than dinner. This will also save you some money. For instance Whispering Canyon Cafe all you can eat skillet (which by the way is fantastic if you like BBQ) is around $14 for an adult jumps to around $22 for the dinner service. Then for dinner we just eat at a counter service which is usually around $7 for burgers and fries or chicken strips. Go to allearsnet.com they have a list of menues with all the prices listed.

Have a great time. next to the resort stay usually food is the next most expensive item left to pay for.

MikeyA50, sounds like a great plan. If I were not so directionally challenged I would be tempted to do something similar but I stay on site to spare the locals and other vacationers. :)

faindrops27, 18 rooms was great when the kids were growing up for their friends and such to come over but now it is just a whole bunch of work. When I get this new cycle of renovation done I am selling and moving to much smaller quarters. :thumbsup2

x10, October is our second favorite time to go and I cannot remember too many crowds. We avoid the parks that have early or late hours and that seems to work very well. We usually go to those parks the day AFTER they have such. Right after Thanksgiving is our very favorite time to go. Take a couple of light sweaters or jackets in case the weather changes though. I would suggest that you check into getting AP's as that will give your park tickets for this year AND next year which will give you a big head start on next year's vacation and save you some big bucks. Reading these boards will give you all the info you need to save money so that you can honor us with your presence again next year. :sunny: Have a ball!! :cheer2: (PS, are you English? It is my second favorite country)

kellyanne731, we are retired now but when my hubby worked he got 5 weeks vacation as well as another two weeks during the holidays. Hopefully you will have the time one day also. :cloud9:

Thank you Slightly Goofy/Linda

Yes we are English

Am looking forwards to coming over counting the weeks :Pinkbounc

Big thing we are finding is you can get to stay at Disney at a fair price but it is the air travel :furious: that puts the price up big time
