First time I am going solo. going for 10 days. any tips, what to avoid, good places to eat, etc etc is appreciated. any help or advice is welcome. staying offsite(2 mi. away) and will have car. will be visiting all parks, Disney springs. little apprehensive since I have always gone with family.

TIA

That's awesome that you are able to go for 10 days!

As far as dining goes, not sure how comfortable you are eating in tight spaces right next to other parties or if it's something that doesn't bother you at all. But a few things that come to mind when solo: Biergarten is a communal table of 8 (I think..or is it 6?) people so be prepared to be a bit social if dining there. Chefs de France & Le Cellier's tables are very close together with other tables. I enjoy sitting outside at R&C or SRT for a more relaxed setting that is a bit more spacious when solo.

Single rider lines are great & only exist for EE, RnR & TT. I honestly cannot remember if you get to create your own concept vehicle for the SR at TT but read recently that one trick for that is to go in the gift shop first where there is a kiosk to create it there, then go back out into the line & when you scan your MB, your vehicle shows up. I thought that was pretty clever if you still are able to do it.

One thing I've found works out well for me also when going solo is to take the afternoon break at a resort nearby the park you're in rather than having to go back to the room if you're staying off property or elsewhere that requires more commute time. Going to eat at lounges like Crew's Cup at the Yacht Club (Awesome food & drinks!), Tambu Lounge or Trader Sam's at the Poly or any others at nearby resorts (AKL) can be a great way to relax for a couple of hours. After eating, relax and explore the resorts before hopping to the next park for the night. This way of midday breaking isn't for everyone but it works for me & I've introduced others to it who normally break back at the room & they enjoyed it also.

Have a great trip! :)

Biergarten tables seat 8. One of my favorite places as I'd lived in Germany and Austria, and loved the food and music. On a solo trip a few years ago, I was seated with a family of 4 and a family of 3. The family of 4 spoke only Spanish and were totally confused by the German theme and music. They quickly ate and left. The family of 3 barely spoke at all, not even to each other. They ate in silence and left right after the other family. My server felt sorry for me so brought me a complimentary beer, but I was actually quite happy as I was eating some of my favorite foods and enjoying the program without having to be social.

I also like to take an afternoon break. I return to my resort room to rest and cool down for a couple of hours before returning to the parks.

I'm also an early riser so get to the parks early and hit most of the rides before the park fills up. As a solo it's easier and faster to move around the park, so I can get in most, if not all, of the rides in a couple of hours, and then I can see the shows, browse the shops, endulge in an ice cream sundae for lunch, etc. I also carry a book to read while waiting in line, for a show to start, for the bus, or while eating.
