Hi everyone,
:hourglass
We are going to be at WDW 12/23 to 12/29. Crazy right? I am starting to regret but my kids will be so dissapointed if we cancel the trip. Can you give me plenty of suggestions how to have a wonderful time with a 2 and 6 years old? Such as which day is best to go to Magic Kingdom and MGM studios. Thanks!

Ouch!

Key rules:
Make your dining reservations before everything is booked, if you haven't already

Avoid morning extra magic hour parks.

Arrive at turnstiles 45 minutes before official opening--the parks often open earlier than scheduled

Go to MK when it is not extra magic, but AK is. AK is the hottest park (other than MK) right now, so it will draw people away from MK

Also go to MK during a midweek evening extra magic hour; do not leave right after fireworks

If you can bear to, skip the afternoon and evening parades and get on rides instead.

Avoid MGM on the weekends

DO yuo know how to find the Extra magic hours schedule?

good luck and let me know how it goes!

I would definitely, definitely, subscribe to Tour Guide Mike!!!! if I were you.
His help/experience with which days to go to which parks and how to stay ahead of the crowds is invaluable.

I second getting to the parks super early. I have been there the week between christmas and new years (25th-2nd). We would leave for the parks at about 6:30 and we were able to get onto basically every big attraction. The parks were packed to the gills by 11:00 am. We would get lunch, spend the afternoon relaxing, and then go back to the parks in the evenings for fireworks, etc. This was awhile ago, 1999-2000 but we found this worked well for us.

We'll be right there with you and I know that many would consider us crazy too. Oh well, I subscribed to Tour Guide Mike and got some good touring info that I think will help, I'd do the same if I were you too. Also, if you don't have your ADRs made do it ASAP. Have a good time and take everything in stride.
