First off, there is not enough room in the title to explain.. So here it goes.

The last time my wife and I have been on Disney Cruise (Wonder- for our Honeymoon), was 15 years ago. We just received a once and a lifetime deal to take a 4 night cruise on the Dieney Dream. We had to really dig for our castaway club cards but they were added too ( cannot remember what this entitles us to but used them anyway).

15 years later we get to take our two boys (11 & 8), and with this deal we have a second room and wil be with our parents (who have never been on a Disney Cruise). We are also celebrating both my anniversary and my parents since they are so close to when we are going. My mom booked the trip, so I do not know the category number. Just know it is an interior cabin, and we leave on April 17th... Yikes! Too much to do.

I need your help to give me information on how to get onboard credit, dress attire for meals, special place on the ship, or anything else that would make this trip one magical experience.

Many many thanks in advance for any information or help you can provide. Thank you!

Onboard credit comes from 2 main sources. First, if you book a future cruise while onboard a Disney cruise, usually (though not always) you get credit on that future cruise. If you book with a travel agent, they will normally give you credit on that cruise, kind of a kickback for the commission Disney pays them. I'm sure there are other ways, but those are the 2 most common.

Dinner on 4 night cruise is generally cruise casual with 1 Optional dress-up night. Cruise casual can be pretty much anything except bathing suits or pajamas. You can dress up or down as you desire. They should have a pirate night as well, if you have a hidden desire to dress as a pirate.

To make it magical? Well, it is a Disney cruise, it will be that anyway. Don't stress it or overthink it. Just prepare to enjoy yourself. When you get access to booking stuff online, you can look at the spa, port adventures, etc. Any of those will just make you experience that much better.

We will definitely enjoy ourselves. Did not plan on doing this while we were in FL, so being prepared will help for sure. Thank you for the information!

If you are looking for adult time, I would recommend satellite falls if the adult pool area gets too crowded. Nice relaxing area and there has been a drink server working the area each time we have been there.

Palo or Remy for a nice adults only dinner (we normally do it on Pirate night as we dont dress up anymore for it and dont love the pirate menu)

The shows are wonderful for the whole family.

We also like the Skyline lounge to catch a late night drink.

Have fun!

Your castaway cards will give you a returners gift in your stateroom, so that will be nice. You can always order something from the gifts and amenities page on the website. This includes wine and beer packages, room decorations, and the like.

If you want your kids to spend time in the kids club, be sure to take the opportunity the first day when they do the 'get to know one another' events. Easier to make friends that way.

You won't need as many clothes as you think. Make sure you let Disney know you are celebrating your anniversaries. Sounds like you already know to try and not do everything. There are lots of threads about what to pack, what not to pack, what to do, what not to do.

we leave on April 17th... Yikes! Too much to do.

Do you mean April 17 as in 11 days from now???

If so, have you all gone online and done your online check-in? Do you have your port arrival time? Have you signed your kids up for the kid's programs? You do have a lot to do!

Yes I do have allot to do! This happened last minute. My mother is a cast member but is unfamiliar with doing a Disney Cruise (unfortunately my parents use other cruise lines because of the cost). She got one heck of a deal for 2 rooms. I will have to ask her about the online check in and port arrival time. Have not signed up the kids in the programs yet but will do so today. My parents were DVC members and gave my wife and I a Disney Cruise on the Wonder for our honeymoon, then they moved to FL so she could work for Disney and has never done the cruise, so this is exciting. Who would have thought that our yearly trip to FL would now include a cruise on the Disney Dream! Can I sign them up with a booking number?

Congrats! You will have a great time. If you want to book flippers and masks for your boys for Castaway Cay you might want to do that. Also there is usually a Pirate night. They give you some pirate scarfs in your cabin.

We like funnel vision and the movies they show in the theatre. The character meet and greets are very good make sure you sign up for those if your sons are interested many are Princesses.

They do a nice photo as you go to board. They supply you with lanyards.

The kids might like the interactive game around the ship.

Have fun!

Go to disneycruise.disney.go and go under your reservation (or set up an account for yourself if you haven't already). Click on My Disney Cruise, then My Reservations (if this is your reservation and not your mom's). Your Castaway Club numbers should be in there I would think or maybe you can add them. You should be able to check in on line, choose your PAT and sign up your kids for the clubs. Have fun!!

Thank you for the information! Was able to add my Castaway Club numbers and the reservation was in my name and my mother's is the other cabin. Because this was last minute, most activities and packages are booked, but that is ok, I am sure there is plenty to do.

There is SOOO much to do you won't even know you've missed anything else.

Congrats! Make sure you link your and your mother's reservations so that you can be seated together at dinner and for any other things you may end up doing!

How is WiFi handled? We all have iPhones, or IPads /iPods. We usually use wifi for all except the phones unless we try and save data. If we can connect devices to wifi then we should be good. Is there a charge for wifi?

They do have it, but you have to pay for it. Unless you need it for work or something, I'd suggest disconnecting for the four days.

https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/faq/website-technical-help/wifi-service/

You can get a small 50MB of WiFi per stateroom for free. If you need more, you'd have to add on and pay for a greater package.

My wife needs to keep connected with her mother due to her fathers medical issues, otherwise I would disconnect for sure! 50mb should be enough so the kids can text us, unless the navigator app will allow us to do it. The app will not work until we go so I cannot set up settings on the app.

The navigator app is only for onboard ship with others who are onboard. Be sure to go by guest services when you board to get the free 50mb, and then if you use all of it, you can buy another package. That's what my niece did last year on our 4-day. She couldn't unplug (20 somethings...what are you going to do???), but we were on our 3rd day before she had to buy some more.
