Going on super-budget for 4 days

Super Budget is easy to do even staying onsite...

The first two trips we did we stayed at All Star Sports and did this.

We drove, but we brought things with us to eat for breakfast... like Muffins, bread, PB & J, bagels and stuff like that.

Lunch we bought a bunch of those Lunchables things (but only if they were on sale!), pudding cups, and go gurts. We had a cooler, and we did it that way. We would put the lunchables and snacks in the diaper bag/backpack and off we went...

Lunch we would mostly eat the tabouleh wraps in the Sports food court. We love tabouleh, and the wraps were amazing.. Occasionally we would eat at one of the counter services and split a sandwich between the two adults while the kids had thier lunchables...

I think the most expensive dinner we did was a pizza deal in the food court. Mostly we got salads and things at the Mc Donalds across the street.

We also brought some budget gourmets/Lean Cuisins and used the microwave in the food court.

I did see however, some people getting Domino's pizza. I also saw some using the cup o noodles things using the hot water from the tea area... my kids love those!

We don't eat much as a family, so it can be done.

As mentioned earlier, check restaurant.com on ebay, search for their Orlando area restaurants. Most of the 25 dollar certificates don't go for over 5 bucks. And then theres a 1 dollar service charge. You print them out from your computer. I use them all the time in the Philly area w/ no problems.
Here's a link:

And these are the current orlando area auctions:

Enjoy your trip!

The ebay auctions look great. I'm going to have to whatch them to see if anything close to Disney comes on. What a great idea and the restaurants seem to be fairly upscale and nice.

Well, I just won one of the auctions for under $3. If we decide to go to this restaurant, then we will have saved over $20. If we decide not to go, I won't feel so bad because I only "wasted" $3. If this worlk, however, I plan to do this on every other trip down. Will keep all of you posted.

Eat lunch out if possible-- it's usually cheaper. Most places have "lunch" prices until 4pm. Then do dinner and breakfast in your room. Never buy drinks @ the parks. We bring in several bottles of water each day. We usually do buy a soda, but I could budget it out because we usually still have water to take back to the hotel at the end of the day. Breakfast in the room is easy. I for one (a real budget planner) can't justify spending $50.00 for breakfast when my family will eat muffins, fruit, and juice from the grocery store for under $10.00.

Don't forget this site has Menus that you can look at. If you eat an appetizer and a salad in the nice restaurants (Epcot) you can get out for a much better price.
Keep your eye on the newspaper for Bennigan's and other restaurants - they frequently have some really good ones. (look on their site for locations) McDonald's pizza coupons were really good - the pizza was actually good too. Remember the kids meal can be used for a Sausage Breakfast kids meal as well.
I always go to Wal Mart and buy the packages of cheese/beef sticks/pretzel combos before we go to any theme park. They cost 1.00 a piece but they have enough protein to make even my big hungry husband wait to get out of the park.
We ate at checkers with coupons too. (nice one on Sand Lake road) and we ate at Popeyes (they have coupons on their website)
And don't forget - you can always get ice/ice water and bring cokes and alcohol from home or the store. Good luck with your planning.
