People talk about the vibration on ship, is it that bad.
We will be on Deck 8 cabin 8516 -forward.
And for anyone who has stayed in that area, how was it.
We will be doing a 7 Day Eastern Cruise in September 2018, and I don't want to be sick the whole time. TIA

The people who have complained about the vibrations have stayed aft.

That said, forward is likely to get motion - especially the first and last nights as you cross the gulf stream.

If motion is a worry, the lower and more midship you can get the better.

My friends are getting off the Fantasy today, and I'm pretty sure they were on deck 8. I'll get back to you when I ask them.

I did really well on are last cruise- last week.
Which surprised me
But with all the comments about how bad the vibration is, i thought to cancel .:scared:

We stayed in 8523 this past December & loved it. Forward is great because it's much quieter in the halls than midship. We also sailed the Eastern & the ship had so much motion the CMs were bringing up jokes about it, but the motion never bothered us (even though I am prone to motion sickness in some other contexts). We loved our cabin & there were never any vibrations there.

Fyi, we stayed aft on the Magic about a year ago & did feel occasional vibrations then. The vibrations are an aft issue. I didn't like it, & that's one reason we chose a forward cabin for the Fantasy.

The first part of September is prime hurricane season, so it can be rough.

Hit or miss. We've done a cruise in August and September and 1 night out of both cruises was rough (the first night of the September cruise crossing the Gulf Stream). Otherwise they've been fine, but there's risk. Hence they're cheaper.

Is the weather in first part of September rough?. Is the water usually choppy ?? TIA

Coming in and out of Port Canaveral, you cross the golf stream at the start and end of your cruise. This is where you're likely to feel the most movement.

Just off last week- we were in 9030 (fore-mid) and the only places we noticed vibration was in the restaurants. Of course that could be due to other issues during that time.

Enjoy your cruise!

Our friends just got off, were in 8038 and notice some vibration on only one day and it wasn't bad.
