As the title says I am going nuts checking for reservations. I usually check once per day, twice per day is not uncommon.

I tried to save the search query as a favorite, bookmark or webpage, but it always defaults back to the generic settings.

Since misery loves company, I want to hear your routine for checking for canceled reservations.

i usually check every morning.. then once when my little one goes down for a nap around lunch time. so about twice a day. if i have free time then ill check again hoping there was a cancellation. its going to be a long 3 months haha

I stopped checking reservations the moment that I heard that the more that you access them the bigger the chance is that something will happen to them. (Agent accidentally deleting them when you call, or you accidentally doing something to them when you check online)-

When I make my reservations, I write down the confirmation number, and print my confirmation emails from Disney. Between the two of those I figure that I am guaranteed a seat no matter what.

Hopefully this helps you from being miserable checking them to being confident in having them once you're there. :goodvibes

I check a bunch of times each day. I'm being a little obsessive about it and I only have 2 ADRs. We aren't doing the dining plan because it doesn't make sense for our family. My husband definitely thinks I'm being a little crazy about it!!

Although, it did pay off. :yay: I was able to change a reservation from 8:30pm to 5:00pm. This should work much better since we have young kids!

I agree. My last trip (last month) I showed up at LeCellier for my dinner reservation and it could not be found. I had my reservation numbers in my room as we had just checked in and I threw my bags in the room and forgot to take my ADR list with me. The CMs checked the data base by my name, my phone number, my cell phone number and my ADR was no where to be found. They would not seat us (party of 2). I actually asked for the manager who also looked and could not find my ADR. She found all of my other ADRs to include May, September and November, but not the one for that night. We were extremely upset and left after the manager said they could not accommodate us. We went back to the resort, and got our numbers and went to the front desk. The CM looked up our ADR and it appeared that it had been cancelled a week earlier. Not by me and I only had the numbers. When I returned home I wrote to Disney to tell them what had happened. They called me a week later and apologized. In their search it appears that there had been some "human error" (that is what she called it). It showed that "someone" had accidently cancelled my ADR for that night. I was given the date and time that it happened. I told her it had been my first night and was the kickoff to my 2 week trip. We were so upset that we were turned away, plus humilitate (since folks were staring at us and whispering--probably saying we were lying to get in). The CM pretty much said, sorry it happened -- and what she meant was, someone screwed up and you paid the price for it.

I check ressies very often. Not to see mine, but to see what is filling up and what is still available. I love serching to see where everyone else is eating to know what is booked from day to day. I really need to find other amusement!

If you mean checking reservations for new openings at a restaurant you want to book, then I check 1-2 times a day. Usually first thing in the morning and sometimes in the evening as well. I am "patiently" waiting for a early dinner Chef Mickey's to open up. :)

I was checking several times a day...but it paid off! I usually book at 180 days out and get everything I want but we decided to do an extra trip for free dining and I was afraid I wouldn't get anything I wanted because of a much shorter lead time. Initially, there were no reservations but after checking constantly for the past two weeks, I now have all of my choices (even good times) at Le Cellier, Chef Mickeys, Yak and Yeti, Planet Hollywood, Hollywood & Vine, Chefs de France, Tony's Town Square, Boma, and the Grand Floridian Cafe. I am thrilled so perserverance pays off! I did make quite a few others before deciding on what days I wanted so I had to cancel some yesterday (including Le Cellier and Chef Mickeys) so there are definitely lots of cancellations that you can pick up. :goodvibes

I have one of those husbands! I was so happy when I got Le Cellier after trying ofr 2 weeks, I went running through the house and they all looked at me like I was crazy, even the cat.

A tip I picked up from another website: 45 days prior to the arrival date, people can cancel their vacations with no penalty. So, it would make sense that exactly 45 + x number of days before your arrival that many ADRs would show up for your time frame from these cancellations.

apparently I do not check frequently enough. I had better getting last minute Wicked tickets from TicketMaster than I do with my ADR's. But still trying though....

I just Booked 4 reservations, but only received One Email with one reservation on it. Do you all get a email for each reservation made?

I have 3 ADR's scheduled for our trip in 2 WEEKS, but only recieved one email confirmation. And..YES, they are all still there! Who knows why some are confirmed and some aren't??

I also check once or twice a day. Sadly, I thought that if I call the ressie number, they will have some super special secret ressies for nice people like myself. Unfortunately, that is not so!:rotfl: We are going during the Free Dining time, so that makes it even more difficult. Good luck!
