I am planning on going next summer, for the past few years we have gone in December. But this time we thought the end of July beginning of August would suit everyones schedule better. There will be my 73 year old mother, myself three 17 year old girls and my son and his girlfriend 21 years old.
I know in the heat we will need to take it easy in the afternoon, but I know with the teens and the 21 year olds the water parks and Disney Quest will be on the list as well.
My question is....would a stay of 7 days be enough to include a day at sea world and do everything that everyone would want to do?
I was thinking of getting the UPH for the stay even with planning on sea world one day, or would a 6 day plus ticket be okay, would the limit on the trips to the water parks etc. make the UPH a better idea?
.
Sorry this is so long, trying to keep things affordable but fun with 5 "kids" and my mother takes a lot of thought

First of all if you want Disney Quest included you will have to get UPH's. At this time DQ is not included in the other tickets. In addition if you think the kids will be going to the water parks or DQ every afternoon the UPH's would probably be you best deal. You might even consider UPH's for the kids and regular PH's for you and your mother if you don't plan to do the afternoon things with the kids.

You could also split your stay and do Sea World on your last day. That way you could book your hotel for 6 nights and the last night seperately and you would only have to buy the UPH's for the days you will be doing Disney.

Now as for 7 days being enough to do everything I can tell you there is never enough time to do everything. We go for 12 to 14 days each time and can take it easy and enjoy ourselves but we never do everything. We usually add in a few days for US/IOA then the rest is spent at Disney. We actually haven't been to Sea World for the past 4 or 5 trips. You can probably do enough in that time but we all know there is never enough time to do it all. If only we could stay until we had done it all!

In addition we always go in July and the heat is really bad. We try to always leave the parks by 12:30 or 1:00 and don't go back until around 5:00 in the evening if that early. It is just so hot it is hard to do much of anything. Just be careful and stay hydrated. Take breaks and get out of the sun, especially with you r mother.

Have fun planning,
