we're on 'next month' count down too!! 1st trip for DD who will be 8 months old can't wait to introduce her to the 5ft mouse!!!

8 weeks today we fly from manchester and counting!! OKW here we come for nearly 3 weeks bliss

I also thought this today. We fly on 28th Oct so 8 weeks tomorrow, but like you say at least we can all say next month now!

All these early packers! I leave mine until the night before On bank holiday Monday I did sort some of the surprise gifts and non clothing items into our hand luggage bags though. It was great fun and I felt so sneaky hiding them before school came out.

I just like to be orgnaised but i suppose if you start packing now your DD will probably notice. I just want to get the cases aired out as well because they have not been out of the loft since we went last year. DH will have to do the spider check too. I always find one in them

All my suff is hanging at one end of my wardrobe, i just like to know i have everything and not have to run around at the last minute still trying to find things.

Your computer idea for the surprise sounds good, I am sure that she will love it.

Computer surprise is giving me a hard time at the moment. Don't think my processor is quick enough for what I am trying to do

I will have to pack a bit earlier this time. I am going to be packing into black bags or plastic crates and storing them in the hall cupboard. DD never goes into these places and won't think twice about storage of clothes in a laundry/linen cupboard. I have to work until noon on the Friday and will get DD from school at 3 pm. So that gives me a 2 hour window between getting to and from to pack. I need to be able to lift the things out of the containers and put them straight into the cases. I do love me a challenge
