Going into labor when you have a c-section scheduled?

I was always just told if u go into labour go in to the hospital and they will handle it!

With #1 it was 60hrs in labour and cs, I have a bone shelf in my pelvis making it hard to deliver bigger babies (8lb15oz, 7lb 15oz and 9lb 7oz!!), ds#2 at 36 I was having mild contractions they did the cs at 39 weeks, no biggie. With DS#3 I had been feeling tired and such the day before, and when I went to the hospital for my scheduled cs, the nurse asked if I was feeling the contractions. Umm nope, apperently they were very regular and pretty decent ones. Guess he was coming that day weather I wanted him to or not!!

With our first, my wife was scheduled for a c-section at 38 weeks due to medical complications. Well, the night before, we decided to go for one last movie night pre-baby and went to see Avatar. Wouldn't you know it, about half way through the movie she went into labor. Of course, my wife refused to go to the hospital until after the movie was over (and we had a chance to go home and potty the dogs and pick up her bags).

In the end, the hospital evaluated her and let her know that she wasn't progressing, so sent us home to sleep until our scheduled appointment the next day (as if my wife could actually sleep while in labor). The c-section went normally the next day, and mom and son did great.

Because she actually went into labor, her milk came in earlier than normal for a c-section, and we got all of the other benefits of labor without the stress and pain.

It happened to us. I went in for a checkup one month before my c-section was scheduled and ended up being in labor. My son was breach. But, I had no idea I was in labor and my water didn't break at that time. I was at a 4 when they decided to take him. I kind of feel like I didn't get the whole experience. I barely got to see him before they took him away and then I was left alone for an hour after.. I also had a spinal and it was not as bad as I thought it would be.
