Going in September 1st time, questions

For Resort Guest parking is free at the parks.

If you take your own car or rent a car, do you have to pay parking into the attractions if you opt to take your own car instead of using disney transporation?

If you are staying at a Disney resort then you do not have to pay for parking. If you are staying off property you do have to pay, so that's something to consider as well.

Thanks, I called and talked to a CSR last night as well, and they explained this to me. Made all my Dinner reserverations for the Sit-downs (that was tough!) lots of places to choose from.

We also have our schedule all figured out!

Sep 4th - Arrive (check-in) MGM
Sep 5th - Epcot
Sep 6th - AK
Sep 7th - MK
Sep 8th - Epcot
Sep 9th - MK (morning) leave around 4:00 p.m. and head back home.

We finally did decide on driving, we have reservations at the Days Inn at Lake-City Florida, I can leave early Saturday morning, arrive there late Saturday night, get up and be 3 hours from our resort!

Getting ready for my second os stay Sept. 15. all my other trips i have stayed offsite and always had a rent-a-car made it easier to run to sea world/universal because we were on longer trips. last year spent 4 days os and never got in the car except the day we checked out. found the bus transportaton to be good, could be a little time consuming but if you are looking to save some money wouldn't hesitate to not have one.... this year i wasn't planning on renting a car since it's only a 7 day trip so no outside trips but my mother thinks we should since we are taking my niece, i know it gives us the opportunity to set our own schedule to/fro the airport but not sure it's worth the 200 bucks...

drove a couple of years ago.... and it just shortened the time we were able to stay.....fly fly fly....
