Okay, I need some input from folks in "the know". Not sure exactly where to put this since it's kind of a combo-thread, so I'll leave that to the powers that be.

Backstory: We're doing a June WDW trip with the in-laws for my nephew's graduation, but it's time to plan our late 2019 vacation and I am on a non-stop loop between WDW & DL over three different time frames. We've never done DL and haven't had a WDW stay with the holiday decorations and events in a while, so I'm jonesing for both. Unfortunately, our school district still refuses to base the school calendar around my preferred travel dates. So, the options are the first full week of Nov (probably best for the kiddo), the full week before Thanksgiving or a shortened stay the week before Christmas.

Quandary: My biggest hang-up with the the first week for both WDW & DL is being there during an in-between time (Halloween is down, but Christmas isn't quite up). I'll gladly take any bolstering for that week that I've overlooked though! My worry with the second week is that not enough of Christmas will be up (i.e. resorts at WDW, but am clueless about DL's decorating tendencies:confused3). Also, that one involves the most time off for my DD. The last week was our initial plan (despite my inevitable pre & post trip holiday prep anxiety), but we just learned DD can't leave until Tue of that week due to her graded holiday concert, so that means a shorter stay since DH can't take more than a week (Sun-Sun only) at a clip. I don't know about you, but I'm firmly in the "more is better" camp when it comes to length of stay (at WDW anyway)!:thumbsup2 However, that shorter stay gives me full on holiday and I'm thinking I don't need a full week for DL to feel we've covered it well, right? That makes the third week fit better there. The first week works for either time-wise. Neither destination makes the second week easier on DD. Full disclosure...DD is on board for giving DL a whirl, but DH is still on the fence. It's new and unknown, so he's a bit :scared:. Am I correct that there isn't a Christmas Party at DL? That's another hitch for us as we'd probably go a couple of times during our stay at WDW. And round and round I go.

Sorry for the rambling. I'll be grateful for anything anyone is good enough to throw my way for input.:thanks:
