Going in 30 days, should I give up on the waitlist?

I've been on a waitlist for the second half of our vacation in January for the last month or so. We are booked for BCV's for Jan. 9-13th, then going over to the BWV's for the last five nights. (all in a 2 br) Is this so bad? This is our first DVC trip ever and I really want my family to enjoy it, but hope that transferring over and the time it takes to pack up won't waste alot of precious time. I'm the kind that loves to "settle in".

So, what do you think my chances are at this point, slim and none to get into the BCV's? Nobody cancels this late, right?

Cancellations happen all the time.

SInce you are within 30 days, you will have to call MS and ask to be placed back on the waitlist. It will cancel again at 7 days (and you'll need to call again then).

There is still a chance!

We were in a similar situation the week leading up to XMAS Day in a 2 bedroom at OKW. Just last week, they let us know that the last 2 days we were waiting on came through. So, don't give up yet...
