going home in April any air fare tips?

We are going home in April and it seems as though the flights are more expensive this year by a considerable amount. Does anyone have any tips? We would be flying out of Albany NY but could fly out of Kennedy. Our trusty Jet Blue is over $200 each way.

Where you live can make a big difference on this. We live in an area that is dominated by a home based airline (Northwest), so we never get great rates. I usually find Orbitz to give me the best deals, but what day you leave can make a big difference there too.

triple, I just booked Continental out of Newark for 211.00 RT in earyl May. Keep trying. I used orbitz. The same exact flight on Continental's own web site was 255.00 RT. Go figure.
