My dh and two of my children are going to be visiting US/IOA during HHN. There is no way that I am taking them to the festivities, but I want to be there all day long. We are only going to be in town from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. Do I need to make reservations for any of these restaurants: Enchanted Oak, Confisco Grille, NBA CITY or the like. What time should I make an exit of the parks if I don't want to be scared stiff? Thanks a bunch.

Since you aren't going to HHN, I would suggest doing the Studios first since they close at 5pm but last weekend, IOA closed at 7pm. I doubt you would need to make reservations in the park but you might want to if you're planning on eating somewhere at CityWalk. You can check when you first arrive. You won't see much of HHN during the day so don't worry about being scared. Security sweeps the park to make sure the day guests are gone and there is an hour and a half between park closing and HHN opening.

While at the ticket window last night I recall a guest buying tickets and being told IoA was closing at 7 p.m. that night.
I agree I would go to USO during the first part of the day and then go to IoA.

Thanks a bunch. My oldest decided at the last minute that he wants to go, so maybe I will send him and dh back by themselves for some male bonding time while me and the little ones go to the Cineplex or head back to Vistana Resort popcorn:: for videos...
