I remember DH and I going bagless into the parks the last few days of our Aug. 2003 WDW vacation and we loved it! Since it's been over 3 years, I can't remember how we carried our our digital camera.

If DH carries the camera case on his hip via the belt loop, does he still go thru security bag check?

we also go bagless and Love it. Our daughter carries the camera on her belt and we have never been asked to go thru bag check.

All we carry with us into the parks are sunglasses, $ and a small bottle of hand sanitizer which fits into a pocket in DH shorts.

We always stay on property so we have our packages sent back to our hotel.

We do not ever carry any bags. We do carry digital cameras either around our neck or on our belts (in small hard-sided cases). We *always* go through the bag check line to have those checked, but it's pretty easy when all you have to do is unzip them and show the contents to the guard.

Thanks twoeeyy.

I think DH did the same thing and carried the camera on his belt.

I had to :lmao: when you said that your stuff fits into DH's shorts' pocket because that's exactly where I put all 'my' stuff too (lipgloss, etc). Our DHs must really love us. ;)

Some of us aspire to becoming one of you PP's...those that travel light, carefree, on the go. I think I would have an anxiety attack if I didn't have a bag in WDW...and with a toddler, well, you know the drill.

It's just the two of us and DH and I always go bagless. Mens' cargo shorts are genius!! We also just throw a ziplock bag into his shorts to put the camera and his wallet into for water rides.

Bagless, that would be great, but with toddlers and a DSLR camera, I don't see that happening anytime soon. But to answer the OP's question, I believe if security notice the bag on DH's belt, they will make him go through the check line. I am sure some security people recognize camera cases and let them through, but others may not.

Skywaywaver,

Actually DH and I don't know 'the drill' because you see, we're D I N K S. :)

All I'm having DH pack are cargo shorts and pants (as we're going in Dec.) but great tip re. ziplock bag. Guess I'll shove a few each day in DH's pants along with all my girlie stuff, lipgloss, etc.

We have been back free, fanny free, and hands free since kid number four has been in big girl panties!!!! It is the only way to go. Also, another advocate of cargo shorts!!!

That is so smart! I've never thought of bringing just a ziplock bag to keep pocket items dry. Thanks for the tip!

DINKS = Dual Income No Kids

DH and I are too. I'm sure that's the main reason we can go bagless!

thanks for the help! :thumbsup2 That was a new one for me.

Chrysta and I are the same way. No kids and no bag to carry. I just have a very small camera bag that goes on my belt for the camera. I can usually put the bag in my pocket to get past security and put it back on my belt inside the park.

D I N K S? :confused3

stands for Double Income No Kids

A little backstory on this.
DH and I have known each other since 1989, 'hooked up' on NYE 1992, got engaged in Puerto Vallarta in 1996, eloped in Kauai on NYE 1999.

As you can see with the time lapses between dating, engagement and finally marriage, we take our time with our BIG decisions.

We still can't decide on whether to have kids but my clock is definitely ticking. Between our families though, we have 29 nieces and nephews whom we spoil like you wouldn't believe. I guess we've gotten used to having fun with the kiddies and then returning them to their parents all sugared up. ;)

We try to go bagless whenever possible and most of our necessities fit in our pockets but we've never solved the poncho problem. We don't like the thin plastic kind, and the more substantial ones don't fit in even a large cargo pocket. Any ideas from our fellow bagless aficionados?
