Going back to where it all started- Sept. 2010 PTR

Cole and I had a pretty good trip to the mall this morning! I found some shoes for myself at Macy's, since Famous Footwear didn't have any Summer-y shoes, that looked comfy. I ended up with another pair of Fit Flops, since they worked last time. Not so sure about the way they look, what do you think?? I was looking for something a bit simplier but the season is over, can I wear them with brown and black? I think I'll call them my "princess shoes!"....

I also picked up an Anniversary card for Todd, looked for a Kindle case (they didn't have the version size I needed....), but managed to pick these up in the dollar aisle for the boys for their "goody bags" for the airport/plane ride down.

I bought these a couple of weeks ago for Cole, not sure I shared them with you or not, he LOVES them! He is CONVINCED they make him run faster since they are Lightning!

Okay, that's it for today! Got to get some work done while the boys are watching a movie.....

You should see my puny little countdown chain now! We can't even hang it up anymore because I can't reach it! So, it's sitting on my desk.

I went to Target today too. I think I'm there at least 3 or 4 times a week. Do you think they could just let me live in the backroom there?

Good luck finding some shoes today. I bought some Keens before our last trip and LOVED them, they are perfect park touring shoes!

Okay, thanks!! Here's the catch...they are more gold than silver and all I wear is silver! The ladies in the store said they caught both colors....still think they are okay? Am I totally overthinking this?! LOL!!! I do think they are fun though!

I went back and looked at the pics and I totally see what they mean. But my FIRST thought was that they were silver. I still think they are absolutely appropriate with any color. "Princess" is non-descriminatory.

Am I totally overthinking this?! LOL!!! I do think they are fun though!

You and Cole look so excited! I know you are. . .I can tell by your posts! I'm right there with you. Nikki (the friend I'm going with) and I have been texting back and forth for days talking about things we will bring and things we will do! AWESOME! (It's a good thing we have unlimited texting!)

I've gone to Wal-Mart a few times this week! Today, I purchased some snacks to take with me in the park. I also bought a few items to complete my costume for MNSSHP!! It is getting close. . .my Disney pile is getting bigger and bigger!!!

I love your new shoes! I got the Payless version of them a few weeks ago, and they are the best. I have plantar faciitis (sp?), and it's the first pair of shoes that have made walking pain-free!

They are really very comfy and supposively, they work your backside and legs while you wear them , not so sure about that part, I just love how comfy they are, but any help on my backside is appreciated, as well! So I was pretty pleased with that, as well and that's why I went with them!!

I got a couple different pairs - Newports & St. Barts Leather, both are equally comfortable

Metallics are neutral! You can wear them with any other metallic or any color! And those are cute!! I really like them - and 50% off? Hello!

I personally loooove my fit flops! I have two pairs. One I bought at Macy's last year and the second pair I found on Amazon.com on sale for about $25. Both of my pairs are neutral colors so they go with everything. So, they are 50% off at Macy's?? Last time I looked they had them over in the hat/scarf area...weird. Are they still there or do they have a display in the shoe section now? I might have to go buy another pair. Funny thing is...I almost bought the exact pair that you did a few months ago. I love the sparkly ones!

I am headed to Target this weekend to finish up getting some last minute stuff. I wanted to get my family some little plastic pouches or lanyards for their park passes. Any ideas where I can get them locally?

And I'm sure in a week or two, I'll be LOVING every minute so I can get food shopping done alone, Target trips and Christmas shopping complete without any help!

Totally understand about dropping them off for the first real day alone!! I'm glad Cole did so well, and you as well! It's all about staying busy. I too, am looking forward to errands alone!

David has these same shoes... he loves them!! He has the best time jumping up and down to see them light up, and shows them to everyone he meets!

I know i'm forgetting stuff.....but at this point, until I can just get out the suitcases and start throwing stuff into them, I won't be able to figure it out. I'm guessing, too, that that won't happen until Sunday...I have my parents coming for dinner tonight, we have soccer tomorrow, plans for apple picking in the afternoon and a birthday party Sunday mid day. I'm feeling like I'll never be organized at this point..but know it will come together and the reality of it is, we're going on vacation, so I need to just take a deep breath!

Sorry for the lame update....I'll do my best to get more done this weekend! What do you have planned for this weekend, anything fun and Fall like?
