June 21st and possibly 24th. I haven't been able to confirm that. We will enjoy the village durin the day, then 4 of us are at the pool, and 2 later doing pizza delivery. Can't wait to get back there! Such and AMAZING place.

Today I tried another sewing project. Had fun again. It's a bit rough. I plan to make everyone going on our trip one in a disney theme. Can't wait!!!

Although, they will be bigger. I have to play around with the size. Getting so excite!!

AMY!!!!! I can't BELIEVE how good you are with your sewing!!! AND that you have Andrea right there to help and guide you, so happy for you!!!! Your projects are spectacular and I know there is more to come!!!

Amy, I am joining in. I can't believe you already have done a zipper. Good for you.

 Here I am! I think we need to have a wardrobe planning party for your visit.

I think it is so awesome for you to take the time to volunteer at GKTW!!! I had to laugh though that Jake and Brian are delivering pizzas since I just finished reading your TR!

WOOP WOOP planning party ahoy!! I definetly need to have one of those. Jakes' girlfriend is going to a "fundraising event'" through her medical honor society to gather things from the "wish list" GKTW has. Jake really wanted to deliver pizzas. That's what he talked about as soon as we mentioned going back. That and the ice cream palace!:lmao:

OPINIONS WANTED:

How should I coordinate this scooby fabric. Blue, Teal, Yellow, Black?? Shorts? Bowling shirt???

This is the part I have a problem with. pirate: Has anyone done pirates league? I just heard about it and was wondering if it's worth it?!!:confused3

Bring the Scooby fabric over and let me look at it -- while I'm not a fabric store, I come close. We can hold it up to some different colors and see what looks good. I am thinking bowling shirts unless you want to do t's with an applique -- I'll have to see if there is a Scooby design out there. We can always meet at Hancock's one day to match up the fabric with something.

Marianne did Pirate's League and just posted about it -- it looks really cool:

I am liking the idea of a bowling shirt. Jonathon loves scooby doo and thought it would be good for Universal. I tried Joann's but without the fabric I couldn't tell. I will bring it friday and we can check it out. So excited.

So I just tried a tie dye mickey shirt. Used one of DH"s old t-shirts and ALlison's old tie-dye stuff. Won't know until tomorrow how it turns out. Will post pictures when it's done.

WISH LIST!
Red Shirts with Mickey/Minnie head with each name (only theirs)
Tie -Dye Shirt for everyone
Harry Potter Shirt for everyone
Dumbo shirt for SKye
Peter Pan for Jonathon
Lightening McQueen for Christopher like Jonathons from Alli's wish trip.
Tolietry bags for everyone (that I make)
PJ bottoms for everyone
Mickey outfit for Christopher

That's it for now. Any suggestions?

Ann (Fruto) has made tons of the tie dye shirts. I hope yours turn out. I have never tried them because I think I would make a mess.

Your list looks very feasible. I just started with character meals for us and then proceeded. We did a lot of character meals! I will show you everything when you come over, though I will warn you you may have a heart attack when you see my dd's messy closet. I was hoping your visit would give me incentive to clean it, but when it's nice out I have to work on the yard -- which was just as disastrous as the closet :rotfl:

Joining in !!

Love your outfits ! I want to learn to do that !! I used to sew awhile ago .. I think I'll have to give it a shot. :thumbsup2

It's wonderful that you are going back ! What a great way to give back. :thumbsup2

You are likely going to have to post these somewhere where you can find someone that makes these -- try Disbout or the Disigns thread and see if you get any response. Or look on the BG thread and see who has made them in the past and try pm'ing them. That's why I don't do tie dyes -- too much work for uncertain results!

Now, if you want to salvage the shirt we can always applique on it. We could do a black Mickey head where his head was supposed to be!

great job on the shirts and outfits! love the little bags too!

since we will be gone wanted to send this to you...

Hi Amy! I'm posting here as a *friendly* reminder to get your ptr updated and post pics of your bags and to let everyone know how Alli is doing.

Amy made some awesome tote bags for Alli, her ds's girlfriend and her mom. She has become a proficient seamstress overnight!

I am so sorry that I have been MIA!!:( It hasn't been intentional. Allison has had quite the month. She made it back to school sometime around March 8th, but got sick again the beginning of April. First she noticed alot of headaches and then in the middle of the night she woke up with really bad hip pain and ankle pain. It got better but kept coming back especially in her knees. On 2 occasions she wasn't even able to walk around the house. Going to Andreas was difficult with the 2 story house..

We went to the Dr and he said she had arthritis. Changed her meds around and we were going to follow up. She gave herself her Humira early and waited for relief, but it didn't come. THe Dr changed more meds around, but in the mean time she started with a rash. Started the new med, got relief within 48 hours. The rash was getting worst and she was very irritable and uncomfortable. Call the Dr, we play phone tag... but he got my msg from the staff wrong.:confused3 He thought the rash was from the newest med.... THE ONE THAT HELPED HER JOINT PAIN! SO, STOP that med and come in later in the week. She ended up at her PCM because of the rash and was given medicine and started to feel better. Since the GI is in the same building we went there and she was able to restart the medicine that did NOT cause the rash:thumbsup2 The next morning she wakes up crying with ear pain. Asking to go to the ER, which is not like her. She had an ear infection and sinus infection. More meds and narcotics and hoping for good results.

The next day we left to go to MD for Easter and part of spring break. (friday)
Saturday morning her wonderful GI dr called to see how she was, but was not happy when I said Alli wasn't able to go up and down my parents stairs and couldn't hear from her ear, we needed to be seen monday first thing, but any fever and she must go to the ER. SO.. we head home Easter evening to be at the DR Monday morning. Turns out one of her meds needed to be stopped so that her immune system could fight the infection. We ended up with an order for a wheelchair, referal to Rheumatologist and back to the ENT. She started to feel better from the infections.. but started to have her Crohn's flare by Wednesday. She is now back on Home Bound School and deals with pain in her mouth and legs regularly. If I can get her to drink a milkshake (with carnation instant breakfast or pediasure) a day, I am doing good. She is tolerating Ramen noodles. :scared:

It's been enough to keep me busy, plus Jonathon's allergies/asthma and Christopher with another ear infection and referal back to replace the tube that fell out much to early.

OK Next post will be strictly pictures of things I have worked on!!!
