Going away on Wednesday

Hi all

Not Florida I know, but juts wanted to say how very very very very nervous I am about flying again. We drive down to Gatwick on Tusday afternoon for a 10:10am Wednesday flight into Varadero, Cuba. Three weeks alone with my wife and kids really looking forward to it, but am starting to feel a little sick with less than 48 hours to go till we fly.

I will let you know how we get on in three weeks (hopefully!)

Hi Steve

Just wanted to say that I sympathise, from one nervous flyer to another. It is so difficult when you want to be excited about your holiday and people keep asking if you are, but all you can think about is how sick you feel from worrying about the flight. I got my doctor to give me some valium last time we went to Florida which really helped, though everyone responds to different things, I suppose.

I hope you have a good flight and just keep telling yourself that it will be worth it when you get there. Have a great trip.

Pop in to Boots and pick up some rescue remedy. It really works for me. It is a flower remedy by Bach. Just four drops under the tongue 4 times a day.They also have it in a spray now which I prefer looks like you are using one of those breath freshner sprays lol

Ill try the drops remedy I think, I seem to get worse each time we go, but it is all out weighed (only just) by the desire to see these places.

mind you, Josh is only 20 months so I guess he will occupy our mind most of the time eh? him, and the 40000 games of naughts and crosses I end up playing with Beth and Ellie.

I will be the first out of my seat applauding when we land.

Hope you have a great time, let us know what it is like when you get back, we were considering Cuba (Valedero) but settled on WDW... oh the hardship!!!!!!

Ill get some pics to you and a review when I get back. We wanted to go while Castro was still alive and kicking. As much as I love Florida I wanted to see a place before the Americans took over, as will be inevitable when old Fidel pops his clogs.

That was the reason we wanted to go, but we mananged toi gert some cheap flights and my other hal has not been the the US. It is on our list for next year before it gets too toursity and spoilt.
