No pun intended! :rolleyes:

Going ATL to MCO rates are as high as $ 250.00. Any ideas on whether the rates will come down?

Thanks. :D

I flew Thanksgiving week and got cheap rates ie;$68 ea way! Now they are $122. Hope someone can give you some answers as to when rates may come down. I don't want to drive :(

That is the start of President's week and winter breaks. That is why they are high. Just keep checking every day to see if they drop the rates.

Dont forget...it's also the weekend of the Daytona 500. I wanted to go also, but got scared off by the airfares.

YUCK we are flying that week spanning presidents vaca and our airfare is horrible 700+ for 2 roundtrip from albany with soutwest. I DID not book these tickets if they had told us it wa sthat much we would have changed our travel dates and taken our son out of school for an extra week :(

Let's keep bumping this up and if anyone sees the rates drop. Please post it!

Thanking everyone in advance. ;)

Beverly lynn or travel coupons is it right the rates are up because planes have been parked,

flying less planes at less times??? thats what I heard, could be rumor ? cmatt

I was watching rates this fall for Southern California. They took a huge jump right before Thanksgiving and dropped back down afterwards. Now that we are into the holiday rush they are back up again. I'll bet they will drop again after the holidays.

Just checked airtran.com and looked about 200 RT.....ATL to MCO....we use them out of Moiline to ATL to MCO a lot and love this airline...Ted.....I would guess this rate will go down....check their site every day or sign up on line for their specials......good luck Ted

Rates for Feb WERE cheap last month!! We bought 3 R/T fares w/Southwest out of Chicago for $408 (total)!!!
Our trip dates are 2/5 - 2/11. The cheap airfare made the trip planning all that more exciting!

bunchkin thanks i'am crying here,, why cant i find that from stl or kc, or tulsa???:(

cmatt :eek:

Aitran is having a sell! For Atlanta to Orlando

$ 49.62 to Orlando (all day 02/12 & 02/13)
$ 87.62 to Atlanta (returning 02/17)

Total with tax $ 150.00! I am booking! :D

Does anyone know when the best time to buy air tickets is. It seems like last year I seen great deals coming from Detroit to Orlando, about $150, this year all I see for August is $200 and up. Plus, I really wanted to use frequent flyer miles through Northwest and get one free ticket, but their lowest fare is $380 RIDICULOUS!!

So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I really want to buy airfare sometime in spring with income tax refund.

Thanks

zippehsmom,

Have you tried getting more miles to earn another free ticket?

If you don't have Sprint long distance, you can sign up before 12-31-01 for 20,000 free miles over 12 months.
Here is the link: Sprint Link

You can get 250 Northwest miles for requesting an auto insurance quote from AIG. Call 800-692-4047 Extension 2414.

Get a Worldperks Visa and get 3,000 bonus miles.

OR

If you've already got a Worldperks Visa, Register your Email by 12-31-01 for 1,000 bonus miles.

the key is when do you get the free miles??? thanks cmatt

Thanks Travelcoupons,

I am already signed up for sprint and we have the world perks visa already. We were really banking the airline miles when you could earn miles for shopping at Farmer Jacks.

I think we may have almost enough for two tickets. We just booked a Vegas trip through Northwest Vacations, so that will earn us some miles. Thanks for the suggestions.

Anyone else have suggestions on when the best time to buy airline tickets for trip scheduled in August??

z-mom how did you come out with your las vegas airline tickets, we have a deal on a hotel pkg. with hilton, but cant find what i call good air fare on 4 different dates,,

let me know if youfound a great air fare but i think you said northwest,, i cant get that out of stl. or tulsa, or kc
:) thanks cmatt
