I know this is off topic, but here in CT we have deployed so many troops and watching the pain in their eyes and the eyes of their families is just heart wrenching.
I just wanted to post a big THANK YOU!! to those who protect and serve and put their lives on the line so we can live in freedom!!

Yes, Thank God we have men and women out there, defending our freedom and trying to get that freedom for others...my coworker's husband was deployed on Monday. My husband is in the Nat'l Guard and although he hasn't been called up, I am still so proud of him for giving time to our country for the last 15 years.

My sister's (SullyBear on Dis) Hubby is there now. I am soooo proud of my brother in law!!! I am proud of the families they have left behind too!!

I understand the heartbreak of separation. Navy families know this all too well. We deal with it every month. It is part of the job. My heart goes out to the children who are separated from BOTH parents due to military obligations. Times of unrest really effect them the most. Keep them in your thoughts.
