Goat Trick

Ok, so I'm 38 and should be smart enough not to fall for such nonsense, but decided to give it a try anyway. There was no "cool dizzying effect" and my neck has been messed up for the past 4 days, which does seem to be related.

So, level with me...it's just Urban Legend, right?

On BTMRR there is a goat chewing a stick of dynamite. You stare at this goat as you crest the lift hill. Continue staring at it as you go by. It can disorient you.

No so much whiplash...I think it was just the bouncing of the ride with my head turned at that angle...just had pain in that area since. Or maybe it was just the jarring of the ride in general. DH said he though it was rougher than he remembered, but I didn't really notice when I was riding.

OK, thanks! I have tried to look at the scenery on BTMRR as we go by before... never had much success! It goes by too fast...

We do the goat trick every time....love it

Per my kids (I just asked them to describe it):
It is the same feeling you get when you go over a hill and come down the other side....your stomach kind of tingles. It also gives you the sensation of going faster and it makes you feel a little disoriented.

I learned the goat trick a different way which was right before u go down the hill where you see the goat you face backwards which 1)makes you dizzy 2) freaks the heck out of the people sitting behind you and then you put your head back forward when the train slows down again
