Today is a full day in Redwood National Park so we get up as usual about 7am and are ready to head off for the day at about 8.30am. But the weather is not looking good so that rules out swimming in the sea
At least the hiking was through the forest so lack of sun is quite a relief as it means it stays nice and cool
It takes about 2 ½ hours to reach the sea and about 20 minutes before we get there we meet Michael who is walking towards us. He then walks back with us and we eat lunch at the beach. This afternoon we have two choices either to go on the beach for a short walk and then get taken to the Trees of Mystery which is a cable car to a high view point or to walk back to where we started but on a different route. I choose the first option as do about 6 others
So we first go onto the beach
Then find a place that has the elk roaming
It was then time for the cable car ride, which to get to means you need to walk around a trail
This was quite a good viewpoint as could see inland and to the coast
After this it was back to the campsite. I had a quick swim in the pool and then we had dinner and settled down for the night as tomorrow we were off to Oregon, a state I had never been to before
