The more I hear on the news and from you guys here, it must be unreal there. Everyone, please don't venture out. It's not worth it until your conditions improve. I think everyone will understand if coupons are sent late or received late with what Mother Nature has been piling on you and with the USPS not being able to handle it either. May things get better soon!

Guess what arrived this afternoon? Yep! You're right! The envie you sent on 1/10 beat the one that you sent on 1/3 so I'm now thinking the first one probably wound up in the Magical Kingdom of Lost Envies never to be seen again. Another envie is heading your way. Did you happen to get the last two envies I sent you? I'm just curious because I've been having some issues receiving and sending mail. Bills and letters I have been sending are taking weeks to arrive and I've been experiencing delays on the receiving end as well. Who knows.

Be sure to notify your local p.o. and get your concern into the system if possible. They need to know this isn't a one time thing and happening too frequently for comfort. Depending on what bills are taking weeks to arrive could cost you extra money for being late.

$44.66 shopper club - feel like a bit of a hoarder today, shopped last nite and got a lot of "10 for $10" items! I have always shopped by the week or 2, never really subscribed to the bulk shopping idea. Am trying it this month! Spent $324 on groceries so far...my average month bill is $900-$1100. This is the only place I can share my excitement about this without seeming geeky! Thanks for listening

Hope you'll end this month on a good note with your different shopping method. I'm switching it up right now too, only I'm trying to see how LITTLE I can grocery shop. Now that the holidays are over and my Disney trip is done, it's time to give the bank account a break and clear out my overflowing pantry at the same time. Talk about geeky, who else actually delights in researching chop suey recipes in order to use up a jar of bead molasses? It's a big game to me, plus my kids will eat anything, so they're having fun with it, too. DD11 makes sure that I'm only buying the essentials (like milk, eggs, and some produce) and am not "cheating". As my stock pile dwindles, I can't wait to see what I start putting on the dinner table!
