The past two weeks our papers have only had SS inserts.
I get mine at a convenience store, so I checked multiple papers. They sell the "northern suburbs" edition of both local papers (Pioneer Press & Star Trib)
Last week (8/15), Pioneer Press had both SS & RP, but very thin. Star Trib only had SS. But my work (downtown Minneapolis) gets the Star Trib and it had both inserts.
This week (8/22), both papers only had SS.

On the coupon calendar I have, both inserts were scheduled, but maybe that's not current. Anyone else have weird inserts?

I get my insert schedule that I put on page one of our thread from either TaylortownPreview or SundayCouponPreview websites. When I checked to make out our schedule (which was over a month ago), they listed both inserts coming in yesterday's newspapers. However, I've found both sites to be inaccurate (but only occasionally) and this must have been the case yesterday.

Yesterday I, too, got just SS in both the St. Paul and Mpls. papers which are both delivered to my doorstep each Sunday. When I've bought the papers on Saturdays (that would be their early Sunday edition) RP is usually not in the papers regardless of which store I buy it at so I've stopped buying that edition.

Sorry for any confusion caused with the schedule I posted. I need to update it for September and October soon.

I had to stop at 4:30 to send a priority envelope that needed delivery confirmation. The line was short when I got there but by the time it was my turn, I think there were 15 people behind me and only ONE LADY working the counter!!! She said her coworker had called in sick FOR THE WEEK! Sounds more like he needed a vacation to me. I think Mondays in general are bad days at the post offices.

Where is your DH serving? Bless him!

We have a similar program up here at one of our stores and I love it! The best part (other than saving $$ on gas of course) is that you can accumulate your savings on each shopping trip and don't have to spend a certain amount all at once to get your reward at the fuel pump.

However, I did only pay 229.9 for regular gas on Friday when I filled up. Haven't seen it that low for quite a while!

$2.29 for gas???? Honest? Ours is at $2.57 on our side of the Cities right now and that's the lowest it's been for a long, long time.

Okstate_angel...got one that should be ready for you today. The hubby and I stole away to Nashville this past weekend and with all this travelling (which I LOVE ), I've been a bit out of synch. But school started AGAIN yesterday so my life is getting back to the busy, but steady schedule. I should be able to send out my envies every Monday again. Sorry for being a slacker! njsam, mailed your envelope out today...it would have gone out yesterday but DD started Kindergarten and she had a half day...not sure why they do that on the first day of school but oh well.

I think I was more nervous than she was. When I picked her up, I asked if she had a good day and was it good enough to come back tomorrow (today) and she said "yes, I LOVED it!". She talked about it all the way home...I just hope the rest of the year is like yesterday....
