disneydorkorama your envie went out this morning. Sorry it was late as we just got back from vacation. Have a good week. :goodvibes

jkCT - got an envelope from you today. Thanks!! Also, I forgot to thank you for the Boxtops. I just got a letter from DS's school (going to kindergarten!) and they collect Boxtops. :cool1:

hppy2bhome - your envie from the other day got returned to me. Apparently you need to put a stamp on things to mail them! D'oh!! :headache: I have that one ready to go again, as well as another, so be on the lookout for 2 envelopes! sorry!

:yay:welcome!:yay:

:lmao: out of the mouths of teens....

Have a great day!:cheer2:

I was toying w/ the idea of getting cash back at the store equal to the amount I saved in coupons and putting it aside...does anyone else do that? Right now I just like having a lower line item for groceries in the budget, but maybe this would be a good way to beef up savings? trip $? thoughts?

Funny, I was thinking the same thing! Maybe I will give it a shot! :cool1:

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. My aunt was single with no children so one of my other aunts and a cousin are trying to get everything in order....the sad (but funny) part is I don't think she threw anything away...she has lots and lots of....stuff. :lmao: I think my parents and I are going back up to her house this weekend to help pack up some things.

I wanted to let njsam know that I did make it to the post office on Tuesday to send out her coupons, hopefully you get them soon.

I just received your envie today...was surprised, as I didn't expect it so soon!
Thanks...as usual, there are plenty I can use!
:cool1:

Njsam, never got to the p.o. today so it will go out tomorrow. Had three unbelievably sad phone calls before 10 A.M. The death of a friend (expected but still so sad...inoperable brain tumor), my brother-in-law fell off a ladder last night and broke his hip and shattered his shoulder (but had successful surgery this afternoon and is resting comfortably tonight), and coworker's 45 year-old husband was placed into hospice. It was a horribly rough morning and I cringed every time the phone rang the rest of the day. :sad1:[/QUOTE]

OMG you poor thing...so much sadness all at once. It sure makes it tough on the emotions. :flower3: Just know that we are all right here with you and offer our sincerest thoughts, prayers, and as stated before, many, many :grouphug:.

Since I walked out of the house w/o the envie today, DH mailed it for me. (I think? I hope? I'll check with him!! ;) )

Thanks for your kind thoughts and supportive message. It helped to be at work this morning and not at home all day. Less time to think!

Hope you have a great weekend!

shortstuff got both envies yesterday.

Also, happy dance for me today. Yesterday I got paid for doing summer school and mananged to pay off two small store credit cards that have been nickel and dimeing me to death. Now to work on the two credit cards that have much bigger balances. We are hoping to be credit card debt free by this time next year. We have other debt but it is more long term type things (mortgage, car, student loans etc.). I am just tired of paying the credit card companies interest.

I do this..I just started in June and am over $200 just solely by putting what i save with coupons into a fund. We are planning on using it to get a fence/pool next summer and get tickets to a football game next season. If we can save $100 a month we will be pretty close to the goal. We also don't use change and put that in the fund and sometimes extra singles.

I received you envelope in the mail today. Thanks so much - just in time for grocery shopping!

Thank you (and DH). I'll let you know if (when) I get it! Have a great week-end, too.

Ok_state angel, Just letting you know I did receive your envie yesterday but my internet has been in and out for the past 2 days. Just when I would get ready to get on the disboards I lost internet. I finally just gave up.

PrincessPaige - how are you doing today? I have been thinking of you going through your Aunt's stuff. I hope you can remember happy thoughts as you see things.

ShiPoo - how are you doing today? and how is your DBIL? Was surgery okay? Is he resting comfortably? You have a lot on your shoulders right now.

Unfortunatly we have had our own tragedy. A couple weeks ago, DD's beloved dance teacher was killed in a horrific auto accident along with her husband, son and son-in-law. An 18wheeler crossed the median of the interstate, slammed into their pick-up truck and all were killed instantly. (not the truck driver, he was barely hurt) Senseless. She was 76 years old and had taught dance for 63 years. She was absolutely amazing.

I'm so sorry to hear about your DD's dance teacher. What a shock that must have been for all of you. Did the truck driver fall asleep or what happened that he crossed the median?

Thanks for asking about DBIL. We spoke to him yesterday afternoon and he sounded very tired, but his surgeries went very well according to his doctor. He's getting lots of morphine right now. His shoulder was so shattered that they had to put in a shoulder replacement. He said that was hurting the most yesterday, but thankfully, it's his left side and he's righthanded. His hip wasn't as badly damaged so that required repair with a pin and didn't need to be replaced. What happened was he had installed a new service door in their garage and he was caulking around the casing when the ladder gave way and he crashed down on huge decorative rocks. A real blessing was that our DSIL was home and not at work. They live out in the country with no neighbors nearby and no one would have known he had fallen if she had been at work. That's a scary thought! She's an RN so she knew how to respond to his injuries while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Sure wish they lived closer but they're 300 miles SE of us. We hope to get down to visit him soon.
