That was an amazing game last night. I happened to be at a local Fenway bar for a party so we had lots going on last night. As the night wore on crowds were gathered around the TV's in the place and every move brought cheers.

The looks on the NY fans and Yankees faces at the end were priceless. Thankfully, there were no incidents either in the bar or outside to mar the evening. Looking forward to the next games with excitement.

As for Damon, there's something about a man like that which is more than ok with me.

As a lifetime Yankee fan all I can say is Yaaaawwwwwwnnnnn.

We will win 100 games and have a shot at the WS. It will be interesting to see how the Sox collapse this year.

Insofar as the "grooming issue". I think it's a disgrace that the players are allowed to look like they do. They are role models for young children. I think it sets a terrible example that they are allowed to appear so slovenly!

Uuuummmm...sorry if you were really serious, because I laughed out loud at this comment.
It the grooming habits of pro ball players are the worst influence they have on young children, that would be a fortunate thing IMHO. I find tobacco chewing, poor sportsmanship, drug use, and other such things far more disgraceful than someone needing a haircut and/or a shave And I do think Johnny D could use a little trim and styling BTW

Just like all the "steroid" users are role models for the kids...I'd rather see someone with facial hair than know they took steroids to "enhance" their ability to hit the ball. JMHO

Then again, if the Sox do win, the city of Boston will be destroyed and what on earth will we talk about next year??!!

I really do like the Twins a lot and Santana is just awesome, but he can't pitch three times in a five game first round series so I think it will be hard for them to make it out of the first round no matter who their opponent is. I'm so sorry that Doug Mientkiewicz ended up with the Red Sox. He was always my favorite Twin and now I have to hate him Well, maybe I can still like him a little bit; I can't hate Ramiro Mendoza either (the embedded Yankee as Sox fans like to call him ).

Looking forward to this weekend's series at Fenway--and to beating the Sox in the ALCS. You just know there's going to be a re-match. The Yanks and the Sox are the two best teams in the AL and maybe in baseball, despite the Cardinals' record.

I am just so relieved nobody is drooling over Derek Lowe like Johnny Damon! I went to school with Derek and he was such a huge horrible jerk! I had to see him at a couple my best friend's family events (they are cousins) where he would be nice to us because there was no one else there his age, then in school we were dirt or something. I cannot stand people like that!


Personal opinion on JD- he is a beautiful man in person when clean shaven and smelling good! He came into my work place when he was a Royal and the women there did not know who he was, but they all commented on his good looks, and we don't do that where we work. We are all married and don't pay attention to that kind of thing. Johnny Damon is just that good looking!! Is he still married to Angela? I read something about a girlfriend of his, and he had been married to Angela for a while, they married young. Are they divorced now?
