Go for Breakfast; stay for lunch?

Our ressie at Tusker House is 10:20 am. In the past, our breakfast reservations were early, but would generally be seated 10-15 min after our reservations. Assuming we are seated late, we will probably still be in the dining room when they open for lunch. If they start putting out lunch dishes, are we allowed to try them or are they placed in a different off limit area? Would this be "frowned upon"?

Last year we had early lunch ressies at Crystal Palace. We, along with many others, were seated late because they were busy changing over the breakfast service to lunch service. Very few breakfast diners remained once they began seating us. I doubt very much that they were allowed to try any of the dishes set out on the lunch buffet.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. I hope that if they are running behind and seat us late, there will still be a good, fresh selection of food for us. We just wanted to try a late reservation this time since we would be having an early dinner and not having lunch.

a 10:20 ADR will not run into lunch... we've had plenty of 10:30 ADRs and have never seen the lunch fare (at TH and CP)... that being said, if they do switch over while you are dining, no one will shoo you away... plenty of people actually make their ADR on the cusp for just this reason...

This was a question on WDWToday's podcast! They said that it's not frowned upon to try the lunch buffet as long as it's out, and that some people actually sit around chatting waiting for the lunch food to be set out. Although personally I'd hate doing that, thinking of all the people with reservations waiting for me to leave my table!

I would never stay longer intentionally just to try the lunch dishes. Once full, we will want to hit the park again. It's just that when we went Thanksgiving week in 2007, we were normally seated later than our reservation. So, if we are seated late, say 10:40, we would probably still be there in 20 minutes. they start serving lunch at 11. I don't really care whether it is breakfast or lunch as long as it is something...He!He! :lmao:
