Go Bucks!!! Rose bowl champs!!

GO BUCKS! We needed that win!

On a sad note:

We have decided that we are bad luck and can no longer go to any games! Last year, we went to the USC game (We live in SoCal) and of course lost, we drove to Arizona and went to the Fiesta Bowl and lost! Then this year, my DH and his brother flew all the way home to Ohio and went to USC game and of course we lost! We wanted to go to the Rose Bowl so bad, but we had limited funds this year and just watched at home. After we won the Rose Bowl, my DH looked at me, shook his head and said, You know what this means right? We can't go to any games next year!! LOL

True story : I was at Epcot with my dad this past July, and he had a U of M ball cap on. We went to ride Spaceship Earth, and the CM at the bottom of the hill looked at his cap and said in the most digusted tone "Michigan?" To which I replied 'Let me guess, you are from Ohio." It was really funny how we recognized each other, from our loathing for the other state.:rotfl2:

Not that I really hate Ohio, but you know....[/QUOTE]

We had a similar thing happen to us a couple of years ago. My hubby always wears his OSU hat when we travel. We were on a friendship boat at WS and the captain offered us the water side exit. He was from Michigan... too funny

Yeah Buckeyes

Actually when it's a bowl game you are supposed to root for your conference...because as painful as it is for me to root for Michigan, I've done it in the past when they are in a bowl game. You want the teams in your conference to do well....that makes you look better.

I am all for supporting Pac-10 teams... except when that idiot Pete Carroll is coaching them so if USC was in it, I'd have gone for OSU.

Hubby moved us to Battle Creek in 2003. When getting ready to leave Indiana to drive there to house hunt, I told our kids to make sure they grabbed their hats & gloves, it was winter. Of course they didn't so we had to go to the store to buy them. We ended up at Wally World and look at the display of hats, a bunch of Michigan hats. My oldest said "what about this mom?" I look at him and said "over my dead body" as a guy walks by. You should have seen the look on his face. Thankfully we moved back to Indiana 2 years later.

I did root for Penn State, as I have a friend that went to school there. But I can't bring myself to root for Ohio, sorry!

lol...I really really have a hard time rooting for Michigan at all too....makes my physically ill most of the time..;)

Oh yeah....When I ask people where they are from and they say Michigan I say, "sorry" and they will always say, "you must be from Ohio".

I met someone once who went to Ohio State and married to a Michigan fan...they said they didn't speak the week of the Ohio State/Michigan game. I don't think I could be married to a Michigan fan!

ugh...I freaking hate USC and Pete Carroll. I really don't mind Pac-10

When my girls were little we were in the Detroit airport and my DD was 4 and said, "ew yuk!! We're in Michigan!!!"

Then once they saw kids in Michigan clothes and my then 6 year old said, "Mom, why do those poor kids have to wear Michigan clothes??? Maybe their parents don't like them!!" :rotfl:

Sorry but I have to BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! this. I live in Michigan, and it is the law.;)

I live in Michigan and I am still :cloud9: over my Buckeyes winning the Rose Bowl. :lovestruc Guess I'm breaking some kind of law and I don't care! Then again, I only live in MI, I'm a Buckeye born and raised.

I have a friend who only yesterday told me he was hanging up his Michigan shirt and wanted to become a Buckeye fan--he said he was tired of losing. . .yeah, I know--he's not much of an MI fan if he can throw in the towel (or sweatshirt in this case), but I'll be buying him some Buckeye wear! :thumbsup2

It was really nice to see the Senator loosen up a bit and step away from his conservative mode for a change.

OH-IO--Go Bucks!
