Go Big or Go Home! 17 Days of Disney Dining! COMPLETE & Food & Wine Fest Index

Wow all that food and drink! Admit it, you must have been a little tipsy by the end of the day :rotfl2:

More wonderful F&W pics!!

You guys sure did a lot of eating and drinking that day!

We actually really like the Greece booth. I agree Canada the food is awesome!

I love Sushi! My husband can't have seafood though and even the seaweed wrapers are off limits for him.

The Cheese souffle I thought was awful! It sounds good but it was just a mess! Was so sad when I took a bite of it! The cheese booth has dissapointed us 2 years in a row and we LOVE cheese!

I have never been to food and wine festival, but now I really feel like I have been there. Thanks for your great photos and reports. It is too bad that the Belgian waffle was so disappointing. These can be a really great item.

It's also nice that you keep mentioning how hot it was. We are going in June this year and I always forget that it's, hot, in Florida! I need to Remember to plan for a slower pace due to heat, when making our dining reservations.

Looking forward to your next entry!

Hey Jeri,
Another snow storm in CT! About 8-10 inches. Great report, wish I was daring to try more things like you. I don't like sushi either. Boyz to Men was huge in the late 80's! The good old days! Can't wait to see your late night treats! Alicia:)

F&W looks awesome!!!! I'm hoping to do a F&W trip in 2016. Fingers crossed.

I would have freaked at Boyz 2 Men. Being a South Jersey girl and so close to Philly they hold a special place for me. :goodvibes

You guys got to try so many great things at F&W! I don't like sushi either-- I know that's very untrendy of me, but I don't care! :rotfl:

Hey Jeri, you guys must have pretty much tried every single food (and drink) item at the festival :thumbsup2

Wish I had gotten the black pepper shrimp, they look fabulous. I was also not a fan of the frozen s'mores although Daniel loved them (but he's 11, what does he know lol).

Oh, and you're not the only person who doesn't like sushi ;) We even tried the chicken roll, thinking it wouldn't be as bad as the raw fish but it was still gross.

I am so excited to be going back in just under 5 weeks, I'm ready for more Disney food :)

I am IN LOVE with your report!!! And soooo excited for more days! You eat a lot of things that I like, or would want to try but would be questionable about, so it's been really fun. Keep it coming!! :) :goodvibes:goodvibes

As I was typing this particular update I was thinking to myself, "Boy, Rob had a lot of wine this day." :lmao: I had that big beer, but the alcohol content on that is pretty low (which is probably how it tastes so good) and I think Rob was feeling no pain this day.

We definitely took F&W by storm this year!

I wish I had tried more at the Greek booth. There's always next time I suppose!

That's a shame your husband can't have seafood. I'm sure that must be rough on him.

It's funny you say that about the souffle because I saw that was most people's reaction to it here on the boards. Because of that I thought he would hate it too, so I was happy he actually enjoyed it. He was one of the few though I guess.

Thanks so much for the great compliments! I hope you get a chance to experience F&W sometime. It is such a blast!

 Sometimes it is very easy to forget just how hot it is there once you're home. We definitely move a lot slower on the hot days. It's hard to rush around too much in that heat!

Oh Alicia, I can't take anymore snow! If we get another huge storm this weekend I think I'll cry! Fingers crossed for a snow free week!

It's hard not to love Boyz II Men. They are so energetic and fun!

F&W looks awesome!!!! I'm hoping to do a F&W trip in 2016. Fingers crossed.

I hope you get there in 2016! You will have an awesome time!

Same for me with Boyz II Men! They were so big in our area. All of my grade school friends were extremely jealous that I got to see them!

You guys got to try so many great things at F&W! I don't like sushi either-- I know that's very untrendy of me, but I don't care! :rotfl:

We had so many things that we loved at F&W. It's hard to pick a favorite! Maybe we'll start a trend of not being trendy about sushi! :thumbsup2

Hi Joh! We came pretty close to trying everything. I still managed to miss out on a few items I really wanted.

 I can see kids liking the s'mores, but us adults, not so much. I think maybe they needed a grown-up version with some Baileys in it. What do you think? :thumbsup2

Woo hoo! Another non-sushi fan. I think that maybe it's the consistency I don't care for. I'll still give it another chance, but so far I'm not convinced.

I can't wait to hear all about your March trip. I'm so jealous!

I am IN LOVE with your report!!! And soooo excited for more days! You eat a lot of things that I like, or would want to try but would be questionable about, so it's been really fun. Keep it coming!! :) :goodvibes:goodvibes

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I love food and I wish I could try everything. Disney is the perfect place for me to really get an opportunity to try so many different things. More updates coming this weekend hopefully. Stay tuned!

Loving your trip report also! My family is going to our first F&W in Oct. :cheer2:

Thanks for reading along! How exciting! I hope you and your family have an awesome time this year. :thumbsup2

After our fun day at F&W we spent a relaxing evening at the resort. We got in some much needed pool time. Our room looked out onto the quiet pool by Community Hall. It was almost always completely empty during our stay. Doesn't this look so inviting?

We had a really lovely time at the pool. It was one of my favorite memories from the trip. A cool pool on a hot night, all to ourselves, with some great music in the background. Life is good. :goodvibes

Once we were out of the pool and changed into dry clothes we were ready to head out in search of our dinner.

We weren't in the mood for a big meal like Flying Fish or something like that, so we looked for a quick tasty option out on the boardwalk.

Rob stopped at one of the booths along the boardwalk to check out their menu.

This special item caught his eye.

He ordered this and we waited while they prepared it. The prep turned out to be, take some cold prepackaged pork out of the fridge and warm it up in a microwave while the fries cook in the fryer. Not very quality, but we weren't expecting anything fancy.

I, on the other hand, had a craving for a particular food group. The Mickey-shaped food group!

I made my first stop at Joe's Marvelous Margaritas.

For a Mickey Pretzel!

Then I stopped at Boardwalk Bakery for a Mickey Oreo Head.

We took our food back to the room for a hotel room picnic while we watched What About Bob, which we rented from Community Hall.

While it wasn't the most exciting meal we had this trip, it hit the spot. And really, who doesn't love a Mickey pretzel? :thumbsup2

The next morning we were up early and made our way over to HS. We were in the mood to walk so we took the path from Boardwalk to HS.

After a ride on TSMM we were ready for breakfast!

We made our way over to Fairfax Fare where Rob once again got a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Muffin.

I had the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Muffin.

Then we split a cheese danish.

I am starting to lose count of how many cheese danish I had this trip. :lmao:

Our breakfast here was good, but the service here was awful. There are not too many items here at breakfast and we could see so many of each item just sitting there behind the counter waiting to go on trays and out to customers who have already paid and are left waiting around. All the CMs back there just stood there looking at the food. I guess they were waiting for it to jump onto the trays and serve themselves.

They really need someone to get in there and streamline service a lot better.

After breakfast it was time for more rides and then a decision on where to go for lunch. Where will we end up?

Playing catch-up again as usual. :rolleyes1:

Wow - the rainbow trout at F&W looks and sounds divine. That is not something that I would normally think to get at the F&WF, but I would now!

Honestly though, all the F&W options look so yummy!

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the California roll. :( There are much better rolls out there, so maybe you will find one you like! (I am a HUGE fan of sushi, but I could almost never be bothered with a California roll.) I’m glad that France treated you better!

So glad you two got to enjoy an Eat to the Beat event! Too cool!

Love your Micke-shaped food quest the next night!

One of my favourite things to do when we stay at the Boardwalk is to get the fried cheese basket from Boardwalk To Go and sit out next to the lake :thumbsup2 Like you say, not the best culinary experience but still one that is a tradition for me nonetheless.

How was the Mickey Oreo Head? It looks pretty cute but how did it taste? What did it consist of? We need details (well, I do anyway)

I'm really not keen on those breakfast sandwiches (muffins) at DHS. The egg just doesn't taste quite right to me :confused3 I am, however, a huge fan of that walkway to Hollywood Studios. Another tradition for us, when staying at BWV :thumbsup2

Hi Jeri,
I'm joining in. That pool looked great! We're thinking of trying Beaches n Cream on our next trip after Hollywood Studios, how far of a walk would you say it is? Or the boat launch? The only place to eat for us is 50 Primetime. Not alot of choices..... P.S. They are saying 3iches in CT for Sunday's storm. My boys have 2 more days till the last day of school is June 30th which will be HOT! Then they take away from their April vacation. I think another storm on Thursday too! Alicia

Just wanted to say I'm loving the review!!! Lucky to have stayed @ BLT, How exciting!!!!

Great trip report!

I love love love the cheesecake at Narcoosee's. I would have never thought to just pick up dessert. You are brilliant!

Thanks for the great tip.:worship:

:rotfl:Now I'm all caught up finally!! [I hate not having time for Dis boards -lol!!!] It's so enjoyable to read along on your adventures. You two are such a cute couple. We were @ WDW in the same week & we missed Boys II Men b/c of our exhaustion. It was sad. But you have me wanting to switch some ADRs around for our summer trip. I now really wanna try Trails End. It looks really good & my mom said it was great too! :thumbsup2

I am so enjoying your review
They are getting me so excited about getting back to F&W this year :yay:
So many yummy items in your reviews

and I wanna take a Disney trip with you!!!! I cannot figure out how you manage to eat so many great things. Truthfully I think that while reading almost every dining report. How the heck do you not all explode??? When DD and I go, we split breakfast & lunch (with the little package of fruit for dessert) then each get our own dinner and can't manage to finish THAT dessert!!! I took that fabulous bread pudding from Raglan Road back to the room and you are right, its not as good cold and leftover!!! But after eating too much of the bread and my entire meal there's no way I could manage a bite of dessert.

In 12 trips to the Mouse, I have never been able to eat at Ghiradelli's or Boardwalk Bakery or Main Street Bakery or any other darn good snack!!!! I swear next time, we are doing a snacks ONLY trip, meals be damned!!!!

Great report, thanks so much for taking the considerable time to write it!

Oh and I agree abour BOG lunch. Took 6 weeks to get the lunch ressie & the food was less than meh.
