I know that here- an advanced degree and experience is 20k+!!

Btw, my Ebin's mom was able to recapture her position. 300-something of the 573 let-go positions were brought back. thank goodness

Katie, I'm so sorry.

So everything has been worked out at school. I think the campus director wasn't too pleased about my evaluation of the admissions rep and he urged me to make sure I fill out the evaluation online.

I have my schedule for the next five classes and he explained that the Saturdays never change so the stupid admission rep told me the wrong day which is just not cool in my opinion.

So......we have to change the dates of our Disney trip. My homework is done and now I'm trying to secure dining reservations for the new dates.

Yep, if they gave me credit for all 8 years, the pay difference with my experience and education is $16,000! If you think about it, they can hire 3 new teachers for the price of 2 experienced ones. Financially, I understand that reasoning but it is just more evidence that their decisions are not based on what is good for kids (you teachers KNOW how hard the first year of teaching is! An experienced teacher with less content can be so much more effective than an unexperienced one. Learning the content on the fly is easy!)

Someone pointed out to me a position I think I will go ahead and apply for. I had seen it on the schools website but didn't think I was overly qualified for it. The person who mentioned it to me thinks they are hiring about 10 people for this new position so I guess my odds are pretty decent and the ad states masters degree preferred! It is a new position (resource specialist acting as a liason for the schools to provide info to famililies on community assistance programs available) that is grant funded so it would only guarantee 3 years but it would be very reliable at least financially in the meantime.

LL, sorry you were misled about the schedule but at least now you know and can hopefully change your ressie easily enough!

Tomorrow is my Friday...Tomorrow is my Friday!! WOOT WOOT!!!

My parents and my inlaws both get in tomorrow at some point for Phillip's ordination which is very exciting! However means a lot of people in my house!

Thankfully my dad is going to help us finally finish up the bathroom! He is going to do the drywall over the bathtub and then we'll sand the walls and hopefully get some painting done! I think I'll take the moms and go pick out paint at Home Depot!

Well....I was in real funk last night....just found out that the 3 jobs I was applying for at the one school were just filled last week!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!! This is SOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating right now!!! I need to be shown the way of where I meant to end up, because this craziness needs to end NOW!!!

AWWWWW....Jen I'm so sorry!! Just keep your head up!! You have all summer to find a job and let me tell you that jobs pop up all the time during the summer! Last minute changes to different schools, moving, a lot can happen before now and August! This what I keep telling myself and while I know I want to have a job now, I also know that no panicking can begin until the next school year, and even then with enrollment they might have to add teachers!!! SO WE CAN DO THIS!

I don't get it either and this is on top of the 30 to 60 minutes she gives us at the end of each class for study time. It's weird. Study time = I go home time.

I'm with you ladies, I would really dislike the 30 minute break in between! During all my night time classes I was always waiting to be able to go home LOL!!!!!

SO I have discovered a new way of working out, Dance Dance Revolution. This morning my coworker and I spent 45 minutes doing that and boy am I tired and sweaty (not that you wanted to know that LOL). I'm not even close to be coordinated enough to do well, but I hope like the Lord of the Dance and have a great time trying!!

Well I'm going to do Zumba later today or I'm going to sit in my garage which is a makeshift Sauna in this heat and humidity LOL!!

Let's play "magically transport me to somewhere on WDW property." If I could be anywhere else on this warm and sunny Friday evening I would want to be transported to my beloved margarita stand in Downtown Disney. Sitting, sipping my tequila, watching the sun set, and getting ready to shop til I drop. Not to mention getting ready for an Earl of Sandwich sandwich. That's where I would like to be... as opposed to being in my house that needs cleaning with the work stuff that needs doing and the beau who is so challenging/confusing. A girl can dream, can't she???
