Gnomies Gone Wild

Ummm, you haven't met Charles and me. :lmao:

I don't know...we are pretty boring. :rotfl2:

Although, we both got excited last night because we have been talking about going to Europe. This is YEARS from now but we like to think about it. I was looking at some tours online last night and it made me excited.

Marc wants to enroll in a culinary program once I'm almost done with school so he's going to try and get a part time job until then so we can sock some money away to our debt. Then he'll go to school, then I'll finish and get a new job. Then he'll finish and hopefully by then we can actually go on vacation. :rotfl2:

Jess - that would be great if you could go in Oct. I think you'd love Food & Wine.

Stacy- no reason to hold in the happy. Let it all out. You're going to Disney!! :)

CP & LL- I'm sure neither of you are boring!

Yikes, LL... that is a while before your next vacation! :scared1: Culinary school sounds like fun as does going to Europe. I keep looking at the Adventures By Disney tours...

Hope everyone has a fun Sunday!

I would never claim that I am boring but I am certainly 1/2 of a boring couple...so it must be Greg :rolleyes1

Seriously though, life unfortunately is more than just planning for the next fun vacation in our lives. You need to have other things to look forward to so LL, focus on the good things in your future...new body, new career, starting a family, etc You have tons of good things coming your way!

Remember girls when half of you were going last fall and how depressed the rest of us were who didn't think we would have any trips in the future? keep your chins up!

I do love the idea of a gnomie DVC contract. I'll put it on my lottery wish list! How about an annual grand villa reservation for Food and Wine!!

MUST be Greg, Katie. ;)

A DVC contract to share would be super fun. I will have to start playing the lottery!!! ::yes::

Coming up on Sunday night already.... Oy. Someday I am NOT going to dread Sunday nights. But it's not going to be anytime soon.

I hear ya C, I've been stuck inside all weekend, just me and the dog, working on this stupid paper. It's due on tuesday, I'm currently at 10 pages. I'm just so aggrevated, I'm not able to enjoy my weekends this month. Last weekend I was stuck inside writing a 4 page paper, this weekend the 15 pager, next weekend studying for my final and the next weekend covering a saturday shift at work. Sunday nights just seem that less enjoyable when you can't enjoy the weekend at all! :confused3

What are yours and Jen's dates for Oct C?

Jess- my dates for Oct are 10/14- 10/23. Keep me posted! :goodvibes

Sunday night. Here already. :headache: Anyone have any good tips for keeping the Sunday night dread at bay? I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that I just hate. It shouldn't be this way, should it? :confused3

I was looking at the Adventures by Disney tours and while they sound amazing...I don't know. They seem wicked expensive compared to other ones I've found. We found one going to London, Paris & Rome that we'd really like to do. Who knows when it will happen but it's something to look forward too.

I'd really love to go to Disney in October but I don't see it happening. We've got so much going on, it kills me not to have a glimmer of a Disney trip but I suppose I will live!

I've done sooooo much comparing between trips (ABD and Tauck's as well as others) ...I've even tried figuring out the cost of us booking everything myself. ABD is really not overpriced (considering how much is included in them).... though it adds up really quickly with a family. I was suprised at how much it adds on when you figure in the currency exchanges...ouch!

Ok! I officially vote for a Gnomie ABD trip in September 2011! Half of us have our birthdays in the fall and it would be my big 3-0! I think we should do it! ;)

well, ladies, I guess I'll talk to you all in about 12 days or so! You all be good gnomies and take care! Good luck with everything you all have coming up and have fun! I promise I'll think about you guys! Bye! :hyper:

Hey girlies....I'm back. I'm sorry for my absence.....my best friend's mom passed away on Friday evening, and we have spent the past few days out of town, helping them with their kids, going to the visitation, and then the funeral.......I am EXHAUSTED!!!! Yet, I have my one girl that I babysit on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so no rest for the weary anytime soon. This is the same girlfriend that I was just telling you about last week who was sending me pics of her Lapu Lapu....she was down at WDW with her hubby and kids, and had to leave their trip early on Wednesday night because her mother took a turn for the worse. Luckily, she was able to get home, but it has been some rollercoaster of a week for them.

I hate that I didn't get to say bye to Stace before she left....I hope she has a great tiime!

Love the weight loss pics LL!!! You guys look fabulous!!! :) And the shoes are divine!

Sounds like October is going to be another hopping busy month for the Gnomies with lots of trips....for those who won't be able to go, we will just have to live vicariously through you all!!!

Planning for our possible November or August trip obviously came to a screeching halt with the events of the week, so I am not sure when or what is going on with that. I think I might bring that back up to Tom tonight after Megs is asleep. Wish me luck!!! :)

Have a great Tuesday Gnomies!!!

Have an amazing trip Stace!!! Make sure to take lots of pictures to share!!!

My karma is in GOOD FORM today. So I have classes for school every other Saturday and I just got the schedule and I will have class one the day of Marc's cousin's wedding. YAHOOO!! I was hoping for this. I know, I'm a horrible person but they are getting married on our anniversary and it peeves me. Marc & I had been planning to go away for our anniversary and then we are told under no certain terms by MIL that is no excuse to miss a wedding. I mean, we had this all planned out and then we got the stupid save the date. I got a dirty look when I told MIL that they shouldn't have planned their wedding on our anniversary. :rolleyes1

So I'm THRILLED that I will not be there. I mean, class goes until 4:30 and I'm about 90 minutes from the wedding so there will be a very slim chance that it starts after 6PM. I'm so excited. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

And I finished book #45 for the year last night. :scared1: Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella, I highly recommend it. :thumbsup2

I am thrilled for you that you don't have to be there for the cousin's wedding, LL!

I loved Twenties Girl -- very cute book!

Jen, I am sorry to hear about your best friend's mom. How sad!

Thanks so much Jackie! It was a very long and difficult weekend. I am SO tired right now. I am trying to convince 1yo Ava that we need to take an early nap while Megs is at school........yeah, she doesn't think so!!! :rotfl:At least she is a really sweet and good little girl, so it isn't too hard to get through the day with her!

LL...I'm glad the schedule worked out in your favor!!! ;)

Sorry for your friend's mom, Jen.

Stace- have fun!

LL- you are a riot! :lmao:

Everyone else :wave2

I'm sooo over work. Can't wait for my vacay. I'm so stressed at home right now. Every day that ticks by with Jim at home is another day I could kill him. He starts some day this week but nothing specific with the start date. Ugh. :sad2:

Off to lunch- ta-ta! :upsidedow

Every day that ticks by with Jim at home is another day I could kill him.

Our neighbors have 5 and 6 year olds. She home schools and he is a lawyer who works from home...the 4 of them are together 24/7. I told Greg I would kill him or go insane!!

:lmao:LOVE it LL!! I do the same thing about Blake's sister...oh, darn, you need me to work late on friday? (Thinking in my head...noooo Bridal shower for meeeee!) :thumbsup2

Stace-Have an awesome trip with your mom girl!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!

MM-So so sorry to hear about your best friend's mom, thank goodness you're such a good friend and are making it easier for her

Yes, I'm quite happy. I've only checked the calendar 5 times to make sure I figured it out right. :rotfl:

I am being a good wife this weekend though. We are going up to visit with his Aunt and cousins at a camp in Maine. I didn't want to go just because I've been looking forward to cooking a Julia Child recipe this weekend but Marc really wants to go even though he won't come out and say it. I love this Aunt and often daydream about her being my MIL instead of the one I'm stuck with so it will be enjoyable. ;)
