Gnomies Gone Wild

My bill binder is really depressing. I didn't finish making it all nice and pretty with my mounting debt because I wanted to cry. :rotfl2:

We made a list of financial goals too and I really hope we can achieve them all and still make a vacation a priority. It's hard though because we want to do so much. Sigh. I think we need a vacation though together...it's been almost two years.

Working for a living definitely overrated. And fighting stinks too. Sorry to hear that, CP.

Hang in there, gals. :goodvibes

Ok, just caught up on the last few posts.... Not gonna address you by name but by subject:

Fighting with spouses.... Big thumbs DOWN to that! :guilty: Jim and I aren't getting on so great either at the moment because his work (he switched to dish installation from cable) is pretty much crapping out and I am the sole breadwinner and it's very stressful!

Scrapbooking... I just did 4 more pages in mine on Saturday night for our 2008 trip!

Trip planning... Just have the airfare bought still- gonna book the hotel this weekend hopefully

Work... Oh how I loathe the day from 8:30-5! I really want to transfer but I'm still in my tardy-hole of not being able to until they all "clear up" The new job sounds fun, Stacey! :thumbsup2

Reading.... No time lately. Ugh. :headache: I need some me-time for sure!

Ughity-ugh-ugh. Time for the lunch meeting! :sad1:

My days of being a lady of leisure are over tomorrow. BAH! I even packed Marc's dinner up for him tonight since he's going to work early for a training. I made sure to point out that could be an everyday thing if I could stay at home. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I had a doctor's appointment with a new ob/gyn today and she was freaking awesome. I'm so happy that I found her. She was so supportive of my weight loss and offered great advice. She wants me to wait a bit longer before starting to try to have a baby. If I'm over a certain weight then I wouldn't be able to deliver at that hospital and they would send me to Boston because I would be considered high risk. No thank you. So it gives me more motivation to keep on trucking. I need to lose at least another 50lbs but I'd like to be well under that weight before starting to try. It sucks but it also means I'll have longer to save for my maternity leave which means that we'll probably go to Disney in January. I told Marc I couldn't have an entire year without Disney OR a baby. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Sorry, you and Charles are fighting. That is never fun.

You go LL! I'm sure you can do it! And that's great you like your doc!

So... ladies... Jim just texted me. He lost his job. Wow. I'm kind of speechless right now and wanna vomit. :sad1:

Thanks, everyone. Charles and I managed to make up -- we don't fight often, but when we do, it's never fun.

LL, sorry you have to go back to work today. I wish I could stay at home, too. I would make an awesome stay-at-home mom. Glad to hear you love your new doctor! Do you need MeMom to make some wishes at Wilderness Lodge? She has a good track record. :thumbsup2

Julez, I am so sorry. That stinks!

Oh, Julez- so sorry to hear that.

CP- glad you guys made up. I don't like fighting either.

LL- good luck re-entering the world of work today. I'm excited for you that you found a Dr. you like. You've been doing so well, 50 more lbs will be gone before you know it. And yippee for Disney in January! Oh and I think that Wilderness Lodge fountain really is magic! :wizard: Or maybe it is just MeMom. ;)

Oh no Julez!! I'm so sorry to hear about Jim! I will definitely be keeping your family in my thoughts!!

LL...I'm glad you found a great OBGYN that is fantastic! It sounds like you guys have some great goals planned...and a Disney vacation is always something fun to plan and do!! Phillip and I are thinking of doing a vacation together this summer before the big move and we are thinking some sort of resort with a spa LOL!!!!

CP...glad you and Charles worked things out!!! Sounds a lot like me and Phillip, don't fight often, but when we do...watch out LOL!

So it's Wednesday already...the week is kind of flying by...downhill from here!!!

Wishing all my gnomies the best!

Julez, so sorry about Jim's job! That has to be incredibly stressful

CP, glad things are better with Charles. I hate fighting with Greg, always stresses me out for hours after! Luckily, we too don't fight often...one of the nice things about being together so long, you figure how to work things out before it escalates to a fight! (most of the time)

LL, have an easy first day back to work! Glad to hear you found a doc you like, that makes a HUGE difference. And yay for a possible Jan trip :yay: I got a kick out of your comment about making Marc's dinner every night  Last night Greg was joking with me about not having a job and said if he had a year off, he would have every inch of the house organized. I said told him he would think so but the rest of the stuff never stops (dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc) He then looked around the kitchen at the mess he had left after having gone shopping and making a big batch of potato soup and laughed. I think he got my point!

Stace, congrats on a great first day in your new position!

Hi to all my other gnomies! I'm wishing everyone a bright and stress-free day!

Today Daniel and I are going to stay at school for lunch with Patrick and bring treats. Since Patrick's birthday is in June, he never gets to celebrate it with his class so when possible, we bring treats on St Patrick's Day instead. Gotta run and make the boys green eggs for breakfast. :shamrock:

Good Morning Gnomies....

Julez....so sorry to hear about Jim's job loss!!! I will definitely say some prayers that he finds something much better very soon!!!! I thought the job losses around the country were supposed to be slowing up, but just last night on the news they announced that Delta is closing one of its' concourses at the Cincy airport that is really just down the road from me (it is really in KY!) That means more than 800 jobs GONE!!!! I have many friends and neighbors who work there, so I am hoping for everyone that something turns around soon so that they can find work!! This is SO scary!

CP--so glad that you and Mr. C made up!!! Tom and I rarely fight too, but I hate that feeling when there is any negative feelings between the two of us!

LL--so glad you like your doctor! Coming from someone who was a high risk case from the get-go due to my wacky uterus and all its' issues, it is SO important to have that good connection with your doc! I just know that they will take good care of you and help you eventually become the Mommy you want to be! You will be such a good one!

Happy St. Patty's day to any of our Irish Gnomies!!!!

No wishes yet but I do plan to call on her help as soon as the time comes. :rotfl2:

Maybe it is MeMom! I am very excited about Disney in January. I need to start saving my pennies that is for sure. :rotfl:

We need a vacation together that is for sure. We've been so busy lately that we haven't done anything fun in a long time.

I want green eggs! YUM!!! :rotfl:

Oh yes, it's tough staying home too but I'd love to do it just to get away from all the drama at work. Blech.

I know I'll still be high risk even losing 50 more lbs but at least it will be less of a high risk. I really loved the doctor, she was so amazing. :goodvibes

For those Gnomies who have been to California Grill...I have a question.

How does the ordering work there, exactly? Marc really wants to go there but I know that we won't be able to eat appetizer, dessert and entree. Do you think it would be a problem if we ordered a little differently and less than the 4 courses or whatever they do? Does this question even make sense...? :rotfl2:

I believe you can order whatever you wanted from the menu...if you just wanted appetizers you could sit at the bar and order them and eat there!! You can just order an entree if you want...there is no set way to order your food there!

I don't know if we will want to eat at the bar or not but I'm glad we'll be able to order what we want. I don't want to feel weird, you know?

Oh I don't think you'll feel weird at all, you'll have an excellent time! I highly recommend the CG and I hope to be eating there again in the near future!!! (Well not quite sure how near October is...but I would like it to be near LOL)

BTW...love the new ticker...so cute!! The DIS tickers are so nice!! Next trip going to get one of those LOL!
