Hi, Gnomies!!!

Well, to catch you up on the Chelsea situation, her daddy grounded her for lying. We kept trying to explain to her that the worst part of the entire fiasco was that she kept lying. If she had just come clean to begin with, her punishment would have been far less.

Enjoy your snow day, Jen! We have a four-day weekend with snow on the way today. I am a little perturbed by that because I am supposed to be headed to the movies with Connor and my nephew to see The Lightning Thief. Today was the only day that will work because Will is leaving with his family for Gatlinburg tomorrow. It figures that snow would intrude on my plans.

Awww...well hopefully Chelsea will learn from this and next time honesty will be the best policy. It's a hard lesson to learn and I remember quite a few go arounds with my parents over the exact same thing.

OOH I hope you will be able to enjoy your plans and the snow will hold off! I'm not sure if we will actually get any snow...we have gotten a lot of rain but thankfully the temperatures haven't dipped below freezing but its close to it (real temp not windchill).

Still can't believe I was up at 430am this morning LOL!

CP, I agree with you though. Lying deserves a bigger punishment, honesty works so much better! I hope you can get to the movies today. I picked up the next Pink Carnation book last night from the library. I'm the first one to read it! I have to finish my current book and then I'm reading that one. I can't wait!

I am up way too early for a non-work day. BOO! Stupid internal alarm clock.

I put on the Samantha Brown special...I thought it would be all Disney clips. Not so much. It's okay though.

What is everyone up too today?

I'm going curtain shopping for the new apartment. Isn't my life so exciting?

OOH I hope you will be able to enjoy your plans and the snow will hold off! I'm not sure if we will actually get any snow...we have gotten a lot of rain but thankfully the temperatures haven't dipped below freezing but its close to it (real temp not windchill).

We did head to the movies even though the snow had started. When we got out, the snow was sticking, and now we have about three inches. The kids have been having a blast with it.

I am in a deep, deep, blue funk. I am pretty sure I am watching my summer vacation crumble into dust. We always use our tax return and Charles' coaching stipend to pay for our trips. Well, that is what I planned this year. Did our taxes today, and we are getting about $1000 less this year than we did last year. Wasn't expecting that at all. So, I am pretty sure the Grand is out. Now I have to decide what, if anything, we can afford. I mean, I guess we could stay at Pop, but who wants to do that in the middle of July. Not me. I am so depressed.

Anyway, just needed to vent for a few minutes before I pull myself together and try to put a smile back on.

What are the other options? could you stay at a moderate then have a day of pampering at GF? (Manis and pedis followed by tea)

I guess this is the point where you are glad the whole thing was a secret. You are disappointed but at least you don't have to break Chelsea's heart (although if you were feeling evil...you could tell her about it and say not staying at GF is her punishment for lying about texting in class )

At this point, I kind of have the whole Christmas 2011 stuck in my mind, and a birthday trip in July. We'll see...I just feel like every time I turn around there is another financial stumbling block in my path. It's getting rather old.

Very disappointed. I do think we will keep the afternoon tea. That will be a fun outing regardless if we are staying there or not. I just don't know what to do overall. In my present mood, I just want to cancel and take the year off, but I know I will get over that. It's just the initial disappointment that has me so depressed.

Hi everybody! First of all... I wanna say that I miss my girls sooo much! I know I see u all on FB but its just not the same :'(

Secondly... I wanna announce my girl n me r goin down 2 WDW in May. May 5th thru the 8th. I have to use my cancelled airfare be4 May 19th so there ya go! I have NOTHING planned! Hotel...parks... meals...NOTHING! Except that Imma see our Miss Katie 4 sho!

Thirdly... CP...ok...dont gasp any1 but y not stay @ an offsite 2 save $ and then stay 1 day/nt @ GF to fulfill Chel's dream and to just stay outta the parks that day and fully enjoy everything the resort has 2 offer! You have ur car anyway and ur kids r all old enuf 2 bring the magic with them no matter where they are . Just my suggestion

So...neway... love u girls. Miss ya. And I will be around here much more now that I got sumthin 2 plan Love u! G'night!

Awww...CP...that just stinks!!! I know right now it's all very disappointing but I have no doubt you will figure it all out!!! I know either way you will make sure Chelsea's birthday is a very special and memorable one!!

I'm very nervous about our taxes this year...I will be downloading the program and for the first time ever we are going to attempt to do our taxes on our own. I just know last year we barely got any back and the only reason we did was thanks to Phillip's school credit and we don't have as much of that this year so it will be interesting!

Well off to get ready for the day!
