I got called to sub today. Easy but boring...hand out worksheet, students work, give break, start video. Repeat 2 more times.

Looking back on things, I should have taken the subbing job I got offered over christmas break. It was to assist this teacher (special ed but dedicated to 1 classroom). I said no because I didn't want to commit to that many consecutive days and I didn't know the kids I would supposed to be helping. In retrospect, there were 3 snow days and 1 delay, 2 days of final exams and 1 1/2 day! That brings it down to 11 1/2 days...I could have used that money! Oh well, you know what they say about hindsight...

Bummer I missed chat last night (I popped in Saturday a couple times but nobody was there) Dis was acting funny and I couldn't get on!

FYI...in case you hadn't seen it. This works really well!!

I copy/pasted the info I found...though I saw another thread onthe scrapbooking boards about it too.

I am a fan of "The DIS" on Facebook and this morning they posted about a new feature for the DIS boards. Its a search function which seems to work pretty well. In order to perform a search now all you have to do is highlight the words with in a post like you are going to copy and paste. When you highlight the words a magnifying glass icon appears. Click on the magnifyier and it opens a separate window with the search results. All the threads containing your search criteria pops up and immediately under the thread title is the Board where the thread is located. It looks to be a pretty effective search. Certainly a huge step forward from the previous search function IMHO.

Yes, I haven't had frost on my windshield for about a week or more, so it was a rude shock to walk out of the house this morning and see it.

We had an early out yesterday and a late start today due to another blizzard warning (the best part of course is it does not mean ANOTHER snow make-up day!) The sun is out today but it's only 11 degrees. I hate having errands to do in the cold and snow! Greg called and asked me if I wanted to bring him some food at school. He was surprised when I said no...well he did ask if I WANTED to! (and yes, I did it anyway!)

That new search tool is pretty cool!

I'm just going to echo Jackie...that's why I live in the South. I put in my time 3 years in Alaska was enough for me! Now I want to live where snow and frost are just myths LOL!!!

Awwww...how nice that you took Greg some food!! Phillip had a workshop today and I tried to convince him to come have lunch with me...but he wasn't as easy to convince LOL!

You guys are TOO funny! yep it's true. "My" entrance is now rightfully mine as I own a home there! . Really small contract purchased through resale but it is a start! When I looked at what I spent last Oct and planned to this Oct it was already half the cost of a contract!! A few fuzzy DIS math calculations later, here I am!! Hopefully I don't regret it!

So anyone want to come over to my house?
