Thanks girls Yes, the 4 of us have our own traditions and we will continue to have them. This would be the first time the boys will wake up in our home on Christmas day so I'm sure that will be very exciting for them! We will still get to spend Christmas day with my brother and his family along with my SIL's parents and her brother's family. We always enjoy being with them and 8 kids in the house will feel like home

I will have to go shopping on the day after Christmas by myself, usually Mom and I hit the stores together and while others are fighting over wrapping paper and Hershey's kisses, we clear out the practical things like "holiday" dishwashing soap and paper towels (I know...odd but it's one of the things I look forward to)

A Disers open house sounds great! Count me in

She sent her daughter to cookie day with HEAD LICE! She didn't bother to tell anyone. I'm going to ring her neck next time I see her.

Paula, I am the exact same way. I try very hard to have the whole holiday spirit thing every year, but Christmas just stresses me out to the max. I always feel like crying for much of December.

I am so furious. I'm trying to stop myself from posting a nasty comment on her Facebook...which is how I found out. We saw two weeks ago that she had lice and my Mom told her if it wasn't taken care of she couldn't come because we've dealt with lice before and it's not fun or fair to everyone else. So now the next day she posts how she is sick of dealing with her lice. GRRRRR!

My younger brother just called and said that they are coming to Iowa for Christmas so we will all be able to get together at our older brother's house. He also said his in-laws would love to have us come visit one day while they are there. I'm sure 3 days of going to other people's houses will be plenty for Greg's taste!

We got our first good snow overnight (we had gotten enough to cover the ground but not bury the grass) it overall won't be a big deal I hope! However they are upping the snow forecast for tomorrow to 7-12 inches and strong winds on Wednesday. We are under a winter weather advisory all day today and I am betting as it expires this evening, we will merge into a warning for tomorrow and Wed.

I am SO glad I do not commute anymore!

Ewww...to lice...now my head is itching thinking about it...that is just rude and completely inconsiderate and not something you should all have to deal with at Christmas function.

I'm in a Christmas funk right now...with us getting things moving for our big move I'm doing more packing than unpacking and I have no desire to even put up a tree yet...I hope I get out of this because I just don't feel normal not wanting to do much for Christmas...I'm feel like the Grinch.

Maybe...I even told my husband today in the car we should just skip gifts LOL!!!!!! I told him my trip to Disney is gift enough and just to leave it at that!!!!! I do know a few things I'm going to get him and I obviously have a few others I need to shop for...but I'm just not feeling it. I think I need to watch some Christmas specials because I feel wrong for feeling this way!!

OH well I am excited about our move and I'm excited about Disney so there is plenty of excitement to go around for awhile!!!

CP, I need some book suggestions! I've almost read my whole pile of books that I have bought over the last few months. I'm really craving a good historical fiction.

LL, my mom finished the two Lady Emily's, so I will try and mail those off to you next weekend. In the meantime, I read a really good trio of books set in the 1880s by Deanna Rayburn. The first one is called Silent in the Grave. Right now I am still reading Treasure of the Golden Cheetah by Suzanne Arruda. The first one in that series is called Mark of the Lion. They are set in Africa during the 1920s.
